The network and cable networks have been silent on the sex abuse claims against Joe Biden by former staffer Tara Reade. As reported by the Media Research Center’s Rich Noyes, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN avoided the allegations. Now, actress and #MeToo activist Rose McGowan is calling out a celebrity endorser of the former Vice President. In a tweet Monday afternoon, she spoke directly to liberal TV star Alyssa Milano.
Former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson reported Sunday night on a video posted Friday by The Daily Show entitled “Heroes of the Pandumbic,” mocking conservative media and Trump administration figures for being wrong about or downplaying the coronavirus threat. “In less than 24 hours, it had racked up millions of views…. Liberal media and readers circulating the video often add remarks ranging from gleeful to hate-filled.” But Attkisson smelled a rat....
At MRC Latino we have observed, and reported on the way the nation´s liberal Hispanic news outlets have covered Trump's economic relief bill and its exclusion of illegal immigrants: panic-stricken. However, far from being for “humanitarian” reasons, their bottom-line is just what they claim to be against. The economy, particularly Mexico´s economy, seems to have come before health. Anchors and reporters from Univision, Telemundo, and CNN En Español rage about the effects the Administration's actions will potentially have on remittances to Mexico from the United States
In his iconic style, President Donald Trump took to Twitter Monday to rip into the liberal New York Times and The Washington Post. The president tweeted that “Advertising in the Failing New York Times is WAY down. Washington Post is not much better.” Trump continued: “I can’t say whether this is because they are Fake News sources of information, to a level that few can understand, or the Virus is just plain beating them up. Fake News is bad for America!”
The fickle media really can’t make up their mind in how they want to attack President Trump. First, they faulted him for downplaying the coronavirus’s severity, saying that led to people acting irresponsibly and spreading the virus. Now, they are blaming him for stirring up fear and panic which is also causing people to die. On The View today, hosts Meghan McCain and Sunny Hostin tag-teamed to attack Trump with this second tactic.
Despite arguing just days earlier that the media should continue to cover the daily White House press briefings from the Coronavirus Task Force, on Monday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski dramatically flipped her position, wailing that the events were “a complete waste of time” that “literally have no value.”
If you somehow combined history’s most evil, genocidal maniacs into one super-baddie, according to comedian Larry David, that wicked incarnation would still have more redeeming qualities than President Trump. During an interview with The New York Times, the creator of “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” told the outlet about his time in coronavirus quarantine, expressed his noxious opinion of the current president and made an effusive plug for Hillary Clinton’s new Hulu documentary.
Could the coronavirus be racist? CBS This Morning explored that angle on Monday as reporter Jericka Duncan brought on a far-left network contributor (a man who has refused to condemn the anti-semitism of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar). The segment began by examining the perfectly valid topic of whether certain groups of people are more likely to get the virus. But then Duncan veered into a discussion with Ibram X. Kendi, explaining, “CBS News contributor Ibram X. Kendi is also the director of the Antiracism Policy Center at American University.”
In perhaps the most explosive accusation yet against President Trump made by a liberal media member regarding the coronavirus, Mika Brzezinski has accused the president of having a "financial tie" to someone that leads to him to promote the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat the virus.
CNN’s latest Trump-bashing narrative is something to the tune of: Everyone knew the coronavirus was a serious problem in January, and everyone was taking it immensely seriously except for President Trump and his incompetent administration. Yet a Media Research Center analysis finds CNN’s own coverage of the virus in January and early February was incredibly deficient, as the liberal cable network was reluctant to devote much time to anything unrelated to Trump’s impeachment.
CNN’s Reliable Sources demonstrated the usual partisan tilt on Sunday. Host Brian Stelter came out of the latest briefing from Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York championing his “glass half-full” approach. Then he turned to CNN medical contributor Dr. James Phillips, and they both gushed over Cuomo’s briefings as so much better than President Trump’s.
On Friday's Amanpour & Co. on PBS, Walter Isaacson, the former editor of Time magazine, interviewed Jon Meacham, the former editor of Newsweek magazine. At this time, Meacham poses as a pseudo-impartial historian, just as PBS poses as an unbiased channel of intelligent information. Isaacson preposterously suggested "I've never known your political orientation" before asking Meacham why he endorses Joe Biden.
True to form in Sunday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force daily briefing, multiple White House reporters made complete fools of themselves, firing off snarky questions to President Trump taking issue with him showing hope amid this pandemic, the idea of anyone using hydroxychloroquine, and even wondering whether even grocery stories should be closed indefinitely.
On Sunday's Velshi show, MSNBC host Ali Velshi joined left-wing activist Reverend William Barber in complaining that taxes on the wealthy aren't higher, and dismissed the benefits to society contributed by the wealthy. He also invoked Marie Antoinette against the Trump administration over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
CNN host Jake Tapper concluded Sunday’s State of the Union with a self-righteous rant he thought was going to make President Trump look like he was doing nothing to combat the coronavirus. Instead, Tapper came off as foolish since many of the supposedly tough questions that had no good answers actually did have answers, ones that CNN would like to be kept hidden from their liberal viewer base.
