Ahead of her show’s upcoming season 2, liberal comedian Chelsea Handler joined late night host Seth Meyers for a session of her usual crude and mean-spirited commentary. This time, she expounded on her dislike of Press Secretary Sean Spicer, calling him a “spineless baked potato.”
Before launching into her roast, Handler lamented the difficulty of being disconnected during her show’s hiatus. “I wanna, like, live in DC at the White House… the White House briefings are obviously really, really fun every day.”
“Sean Spicer’s show,” Meyers began, “is like having a play date!” Handler finished.
The comedian then speculated on the reasons behind Spicer’s tardiness to his pressers.
“He has diarrhea every day!” she burst out. “Every single day he’s like ‘OK wait, I gotta get this straight. Wait, what am I saying?’”
Meyers went further, accusing the press secretary of holding zero “truthful cards.”
“Yeah, I think you have to be pretty soulless and spineless,” Handler conceded. “Luckily, he’s shaped like a baked potato and doesn’t need a spine.”
