Obama Deputy Chief of Staff Calls AG Sessions 'Apple-Cheeked Hate Goblin' on Netflix’s ‘Chelsea’

The June 23 episode of Netflix’s Chelsea, titled “A Handler-maid’s Tale” continued on with the ever-present theme of name-calling and dramatically criticizing President Trump and Republicans, this week using the Netflix show The Handmaid’s Tale as inspiration.

Actress Elisabeth Moss was only too happy to describe the dystopian world of a post-chemical attack America turning fertile women into baby-making slaves as “not that dissimilar from what is happening right now.” She went on to describe the story by saying a “right-wing fundamentalist group that takes over the government and it’s called Gilead. I know, crazy, right?” It “feels like these things are being put into place right now.” Seriously? This is how unhinged the left has become in Hollywood. But, don’t worry, she thinks if Hillary Clinton had won in November the show would be as popular as it is now. Chelsea felt the need to say the audience would think “God, this is so stupid” and not be afraid this is what is being put into place now in our country.

Moving on, former Obama administration deputy chief of staff, Alyssa Mastromonaco and trans activist author Janet Mock were happy to continue on with voicing hatred for Trump and Republicans. Alyssa was proud to point out that her shining accomplishment during her six years of service to Obama was to have a tampon machine installed in the West Wing. Yeah. You can’t make this stuff up.

Complaining about the treatment extended to liberal Democrat Senator Kamala Harris by Republican leadership during the Sessions hearing recently, Alyssa described the Attorney General as an “apple-cheeked hate goblin.” Chelsea chimed in that “He looks like he should be wearing a white hood at all times. He is the worst. He’s like a little garden gnome.” Alyssa replied in agreement, “He is, with power.” Remember – when we go low, they go high.

Alyssa is convinced the healthcare bill currently in the senate is “the prequel. This is how it all starts.” The dystopian world is being created by the Republicans but the current abortion language in the bill may be kicked out, as written, due to legality. “They are gonna be so pissed. The Republicans, not real people.” Chelsea replied, “I hope they are.” That’s right. Republicans are not real people in the distorted minds of these women.

Addressing the shooting of Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Chelsea asked Mock about Caitlyn Jenner’s remark that Democrats are bad shots. Mock made it clear that Jenner only speaks for herself – she’s Republican, rich and has white privilege. Mock’s only interested in supporting non-Republicans.

Sadly, this episode was all too predictable. There seems to be no purpose for this show unless the viewer just wants to listen to an hour’s worth of bitter Democrats in the entertainment industry or in politics call Republicans and President Trump names. The claims of rights being taken away are never specifically backed up – spoiler alert: they aren’t – and skits used to insult the First Family or Trump in general are unimaginative and juvenile. Just like Chelsea Handler herself.
