CNN confirmed to The Daily Beast Tuesday evening that they have hired former Jeff Sessions spokeswoman Sarah Isgur to lead the network's coverage of the 2020 Presidential Campaign. In addition to working at the Department of Justice during Sessions' tenure, Isgur has also worked for Ted Cruz and Mitt Romney, while also serving as the deputy campaign manager for Carly Fiorina in 2016.

CBS journalist Ed O’Keefe on Wednesday prodded Republican Governor Larry Hogan, not just about challenging Donald Trump in 2020, but also if the President is even “fit” to be commander-in-chief. CBS This Morning co-host John Dickerson excitedly touted, “Only on CBS This Morning, Hogan reveals he’s hearing from people who think he should consider a primary challenge to the President.”

PolitiFact doesn't always apply neutral headlines in its "fact checks," as in this whopper from Monday: "Scientists’ response to Rush Limbaugh’s climate denial: ‘utter nonsense’." Over the years, PolitiFact has flagged Limbaugh on the "False" side almost 85 percent of the time -- which is even worse than Donald Trump's 69 percent "Mostly False" or worse percentage in 2017-18.

On New Day, CNN legal analyst Elie Honig lights into Andrew McCabe. Highlights: "Whenever we hear something from Mccabe, we have to keep in mind he has a serious credibility problem . . . He lied three times in three separate interviews about whether he was a leak or authorized leak on the Hillary Clinton case . . . Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohen, George Papadopoulos, were all prosecuted for making false statements to federal investigators. I don't see why McCabe's case is really any different than those."

Midway through a nearly 40-minute discussion with fired Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe on Wednesday, the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe finally asked the disgraced official about being fired from the Bureau for lying multiple times. However, as McCabe attacked the Inspector General report detailing his wrongdoing, anchor Joe Scarborough worried that the FBI chief turned media darling may have been “railroaded” by a conspiracy involving the Trump White House.

CNN’s John Avlon ended the 8AM EST hour of New Day Wednesday by whining that conservatives were exaggerating worries that Democrats were embracing socialism. Avlon downplayed the devastating effects this social and economic system could have on the country, while boiling down the fears as just a Republican talking point.

Over the weekend, NBC ran a couple of noteworthy reports on the issue of border security. One focused almost entirely on locals near the border who are complaining about a possible wall, while the other report, as it devoted attention to both sides of the issue, also showed a border security activist being asked by reporter Morgan Radford to respond to critics who accuse him of being a "racist" who wants to "hunt" Mexicans.

Economist Ben Stein provided a harsh reality check of socialism, as youth, politicians and the media turn ever leftward. His criticism of socialism and the Green New Deal sharply contrasted with recent liberal media reactions.

Hard-left HBO host John Oliver went on an anti-Brexit rant, Sunday, seething about stupid voters who allowed the country to vote against the European Union. He also featured a profanity-laced tirade from a Winston Churchill impersonator, mocking his home country: “We haven’t begun to f**k ourselves!”

One way the "independent fact-checkers" damage their own credibility is by admitting a statement is "true," but by applying loads of context, it's actually "false." PolitiFact declared a Catholic bishop in Vermont as "Mostly False," even as they admitted what he said about an abortion-on-demand bill was "true in a strict legal sense."

It seems like abortion activists are getting more brazen in pushing their agenda to normalize and celebrate abortion every day. American singer Amanda Palmer released the single "Voicemail for Jill" on Tuesday, announcing matter-of-factly on Twitter, “this is my new song... it's about abortion.” along with a link to the audio.

In the February 19 episode of Freeform’s Good Trouble, “Swipe Right,” one of the ladies living in the Coderie celebrates having her first threesome by bragging to all her friends. After all, a man would never "feel weird" about it. In this case, Mariana Adams Foster (Cierra Ramirez) is unwittingly drawn into a threesome. She is rescued from a boring date by a handsome guy named Eli at a nearby table.

The left would expect mere mortals to understand that as opposed to them, it rises above the rumor-mongering and  misinformation of the social media. As with so much else regarding the left, that's nonsense. They cut, paste, and amplify the unsubstantiated ardor of liberal Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram at will -- if it advances the narrative. See the case of Jussie Smollett, actor/singer in the Fox hip-hop drama Empire.

The 77-year-old democratic socialist from Vermont, Senator Bernie Sanders, threw his hat into the 2020 presidential race on Tuesday. And while they weren’t necessarily “feeling the Bern”, ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News touted his entrance and wondered how far left his policies have pulled the Democratic Party.

High atop the list of old habits in media that will never die: kneejerk apologia for the failed utopia known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Russian President and former KGB spook Vladimir Putin isn't alone in pining for its glories. During a weekly roundup of the NPR Politics podcast on Feb. 14, Domenico Montanaro, the state-funded radio network's "lead political editor," chided Republicans for having the audacity to use Democrats' swooning for socialism against them.
