CNN's New Day on 4 May 2016 touted Donald Trump becoming the apparent Republican presidential nominee, but quickly spotlighted many of the most controversial components of his campaign. David Gregory trumpeted the "incredible accomplishment for Donald Trump," but soon added that the billionaire is "an incredibly divisive figure — huge negatives, toxic policy proposals."

The former Secretary of State has won an unimpressive 23 times against the aging socialist. Yet, ABC and CBS largely glossed over Clinton’s string of losses and insisted the important part is that she’ll win the nomination.

On Tuesday morning's Fox & Friends, Trump spread an unproven National Enquirer smear claiming Ted Cruz's father was "caught on camera" next to John F. Kennedy assassin in 1963. “His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous....I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting? It’s horrible.”

Senator Bernie Sanders scored a major victory in his fight against the Clinton political machine Tuesday night in the Indiana primary. Even with that victory the Hillary Clinton friendly media is still calling for Sanders to suspend his campaign and drop out of the race. “Staying in this race, aren't you effectively making it harder for the Democrats to beat the man who you say would be so bad?” inquired CNN’s Dana Bash to Sanders over the phone.

In two separate NBC News updates on the Indiana primary, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd gushed over Donald Trump’s “breathtaking” win in the Hoosier State that offered a “knockout blow” to Ted Cruz’s campaign.

Ted Cruz dropped out the race for president Tuesday night and CNN’s America’s Choice panel could barely believe their ears. After weeks of saying that Donald Trump was inevitable and his opponents should just give up, now they question the decision to drop out at this point. “Would you have dropped out tonight?” Van Jones asked of Paul Begala.
