In the world of entertainment, if a single woman faces an unplanned pregnancy after sleeping with a man she barely knew and that man ends up dying and thus can’t help her support the baby, and her parents are “church people” who she fears may judge her, abortion is almost always the automatic answer given as a solution to her dilemma.

They are billing it as "a once in a lifetime Gala, 100 Years Strong: The Celebration of the Century." Hillary Clinton will receive the Champion of the Century Award and Shonda Rhimes will receive the Champion of Change Award. They are touting Clinton's "service to women and girls," and Rhimes' effort at "revolutionizing" the way abortion is "portrayed on television."

The head of America’s largest abortion provider disagrees that it’s "difficult" to be both pro-life and a Democrat. But the actions of her and her organization say otherwise. Many in the media race to label conservatives fighting for the unborn as “extreme.” But when it comes time to report on liberals pushing for taxpayer-funded abortion or Democrat-mandated abortion support, the media refrain from name-calling and, oftentimes, from covering the story at all.

Of this past Sunday's political talk shows, NBC's Meet the Press went the furthest in informing viewers of Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez's recent statement against Democrats who hold pro-life views as host Chuck Todd brought up the issue with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and even raised the matter again during the show's regular panel segment. CNN's State of the Union also touched on the issue as CBS's Face the Nation only brought it up vaguely, while ABC's This Week and Fox News Sunday ignored it completely.

It’s no secret that writer and show creator Shonda Rhimes, who is responsible for hits such as Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder (by becoming an abortionist?) and The Catch, is a strong pro-abortion advocate. Not only does she make zero effort to hide her view on the controversial topic or try to appear bias-free, she now has gone so far as to join the board of abortion-giant Planned Parenthood.

Oprah’s show Greenleaf, a drama featuring a Christian “megachurch” and the fallible humans behind it, has been all over the map when it comes to representing Christian values accurately. One minute, the show is depicting gay conversion therapy programs in a positive light. The next, it’s sending the message that Christians who don’t support gay marriage are “broken.”
