Since the Hobby Lobby decision, liberals have been sputtering about the War on Women^TM and trotting out arguments that are both beside the point and dubious in themselves.

Take for example liberal radio personality Stephanie Miller. On CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley on July 6, Miller declared, “Every woman I know is furious about the hobby lobby decision.” Yes, she needs to get out more. But then she pulled out this liberal chestnut: “Ninety-eight percent of Catholic women use birth control.”

Sen. Marco Rubio expresses doubt that human activity is driving climate change and Bill Press, liberal radio talker and co-host of an early version of CNN's "Crossfire," labels him deranged. Just a matter of time before Press also labels Rubio as racist for this.

Now well into its third decade as an allegedly imminent catastrophic threat, global warming is among liberals' most beloved issues because they see so much potential from it -- more government control, higher taxes, vilification of oil companies and the cursed gas-powered engine, and the pretext to shut down debate because those disagreeing with them are "totally nuts" -- and what's the point of talking with crazy people? Little more than a month after Alec Baldwin declared “goodbye to public life,” the liberal actor is back in the news after signing on as an executive producer of a documentary entitled Compared to What: The Improbable Journey of Barney Frank, which will debut on April 27 at the Tribeca Film Festival in lower Manhattan.

Barney Frank -- an openly gay, recently retired Congressman from Massachusetts -- “is a personal hero of mine,” Baldwin said in a statement regarding the project. “His legacy in Congress, and his historic importance as the first openly gay and married Congressman, are important for our country.”

A useful rule of thumb for discerning what liberals actually think about any given policy emanating from the Obama administration -- wait a few minutes after their initial gushing. Usually the gush continues indefinitely, but unexpected candor will occasionally surface.

An example of this curious dynamic was heard on libtalker Bill Press's radio show March 14 during a discussion with one of his guests, Huffington Post reporter Dave Jamieson. (Audio clips after the jump)

You would think that MSNBC hosts might not want to invite Bill Press on their shows to talk about supposedly inflammatory conservative rhetoric, given Press’s track record of vile left-wing bile. But on Thursday, host Al Sharpton once again invited Press onto PoliticsNation to discuss what the reverend called conservatives’ “ugly, very ugly attacks on the president over the crisis in Ukraine.”

Sharpton played some clips of conservative pundits and politicians alike criticizing President Obama for his handling of the crisis in Ukraine. He then asked Press to comment. As he has done in the past, the liberal talk radio host showed his utter hypocrisy when he responded, “I mean, look, Joe [Madison] and I are both talk show hosts. You don't hear that kind of ugly talk coming from the left that you do from the right.”
