On Monday, the major network evening newscasts all alluded to Donald Trump criticizing Bill and Hillary Clinton by bringing up Clinton’s numerous bouts of sexual misconduct from the 1990's, but chose not to remind viewers of what those scandals actually were and instead deflected away from that by touting the Clintons going for a walk over the weekend with daughter Chelsea and granddaughter Charlotte.

Just after the undercard Republican presidential debate began on Tuesday night, the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC offered previews of the impending “freewheeling and fiery slugfest” debate and contrasted that with plenty of laudatory rhetoric for “grown up” Hillary Clinton as she spoke in Minnesota about ISIS and “slamm[ed] Republicans for fearmongering.”

Those folks at the Associated Press sure are "clever."

Those looking for information about Hillary Clinton's damning email to her daughter Chelsea indicating that Mrs. Clinton knew that a planned operation by Al Qaeda — and not an Internet video — was behind the Benghazi attacks which killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others trying to save him will find nothing at all at the AP's national site in a search (not in quotes) on "Hillary Chelsea":

On Tuesday, the hosts of CBS This Morning swooned over Chelsea Clinton during a softball interview to help promote her new children’s book. Co-host Gayle King set the tone for discussion when she eagerly proclaimed “Morning Charlotte’s mom!”

In what was an otherwise softball interview with Chelsea Clinton on Tuesday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie did briefly press the former first daughter (and former NBC correspondent) on Hillary Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign: “You are one of her most trusted advisers as well as her daughter....And there was a recent poll that was really striking because it asked voters what is a word you associate with Hillary Clinton... ‘dishonest,’ ‘untrustworthy,’ ‘liar.’ Why do you think that is? What's not getting through, in your mind?”

Washington Post reporter Jessica Contrera has only been out of college a year. So is that the level of experience you choose for someone to try and pry some information out of the Clintons about daughter Chelsea? Instead, we get the usual worshipful sentences, like this one: “Polished, practiced and private, Chelsea Clinton is the closest thing America has to a princess.”

The headline on the front of Wednesday’s Style section  is “A very private public figure: Chelsea Clinton always avoided the spotlight. But now she welcomes it – on her own terms.” In other words, “Chelsea Clinton dictates her press coverage on her own terms. We in the media bow and scrape to America’s princess.”

Know your place, peon! You may not approach Chelsea Clinton. If you need to contact her, you can only do so indirectly through a producer. Never face to face which is for ordinary people.

Those were the instructions for Chelsea's co-workers at not only NBC News but also at the management consulting firm at McKinsey where she briefly worked. Apparently Chelsea's attitude is so toxic that even dedicated liberals at the Clinton Foundation have split rather than having to deal with Chelsea according to a New York Post report.

On Thursday night, CBS and Spanish-language networks MundoFox, Telemundo, and Univision continued their silence on the latest controversy involving the Clinton Foundation and claims made in the upcoming book Clinton Cash about donations to the group while a Russian company purchased an American-owned uranium mine. Meanwhile, NBC ended its blackout on the story with a full report on NBC Nightly News, but downplayed the claims by touting an expert with the Soros-funded Sunlight Foundation, who declared that the book’s allegations offer “no smoking gun” regarding Clinton’s behavior.

After NBC devoted three full segments and over seven minutes of air time to promoting Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign at the top of Monday's Today, the network morning show offered another full segment at the top of the 7:30 a.m. ET half hour fawning over the 2016 contender, with co-host Matt Lauer proclaiming: "Let us begin this half hour, though, with more on Hillary Clinton's second run for the White House and what we can expect from her family this time around."

For the second straight news cycle, ABC News failed to mention any of Hillary Clinton’s scandals on Friday night as she’s expected to announce her second presidential campaign on Sunday as World News Tonight instead gushed over a new epilogue to her latest book and Chelsea Clinton’s appearance on the May issue of Elle magazine.

In the midst of discussing Kate Andersen Brower's new book The Residence -- a behind-the-scenes look at the White House told from the perspectives for domestic staff there -- Hardball host Chris Matthews sought to innocently explain away an account in the book where first daughter Chelsea Clinton referred to Secret Service agents as "pigs."

After ABC and NBC failed to cover a front-page story in The Washington Post on Thursday morning about ethics questions surrounding the Clinton Foundation, their evening news counterparts continued the blackout by showing no interest in this story -- yet allocated nearly six minutes to efforts to catch two runaway llamas in Arizona.
