Two weeks after offering a mere 21-second news brief on allegations that the Pentagon altered intelligence data on ISIS “to provide a more optimistic account of progress” against the terror group, Thursday’s CBS This Morning was the only network morning show to report on 50 intelligence officials confirming that their analyses were changed.

On Thursday, the CBS Evening News seized on the deadly shooting of two local news reporters in Roanoke, Virginia to promote the idea that gun control should be treated like “a public health issue” akin to seat belts, airbags, and anti-smoking campaigns. In a tease early on in the program, fill-in anchor Maurice DuBois explained that “[s]ome public health officials say gun violence, just like car accidents and smoking-related illnesses can be prevented or at least reduced.”

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning sounded like members of the Obama administration during an interview with Carly Fiorina as its hosts repeatedly defended the newly agreed upon Iranian nuclear deal from criticsm. Throughout the discussion with the Republican presidential candidate, co-hosts Charlie Rose, Gayle King and fill-in host Jeff Glor offered up White House talking points in support of the Iranian deal without once expressing any skepticism surrounding the controversial deal.

After comedian Jerry Seinfeld told ESPN radio that political correctness on college campuses was hurting comedy, Wednesday’s CBS This Morning was the only network news broadcast to report on the topic. Fill-in co-host Jeff Glor declared: “Jerry Seinfeld thinks young people today are too politically correct for his comedy....The former sitcom star is raising some controversy, calling out millennials for not being able to laugh.”

Norah O’Donnell asked Warren whether or not Hillary Clinton was liberal enough: “In the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton could announce any day now that she is going to seek the presidential nomination for and presidency in 2016. Do you think she's the future of the Democratic Party?"

During its coverage of the Iran framework on Monday, NBC Nightly News touted the hopes of proponents and the Obama administration that the “details of a deal may be changing” the minds of “some” critics as President Obama and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz began selling the agreement in press conferences, interviews, and calls with world leaders. Lester Holt began by promoting Obama’s recent interview with NPR in which he said forcing Iran to recognize Israel’s existence as part of a final nuclear deal (as Israel has insisted) would be a “fundamental misjudgement.”

Thursday's CBS This Morning celebrated the introduction of a transgender character to its network's long-running soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. Jeff Glor trumpeted the "'bold' move for daytime drama," and hyped how "the fictional plot twist on a CBS soap that is starting a real conversation about tolerance." The morning newscast touted actress Karla Mosley, who plays the character, singing the praises of her Big 3 employer: "It's brave of CBS."

So, just how slanted were the Big Three broadcast networks in their coverage of the letter sent by 47 Senate Republicans to the Iranian government? A new study by the Media Research Center has found ABC, CBS and NBC gave three times more coverage to critics of the GOP letter than to supporters, and more than eight times as much airtime fretting about the letter than about the substance of the Obama administration's dealings with Iran.
