Welcome to the newest battle in America's culture war. Last week, people who have long claimed they stand for "tolerance" engaged in vicious attacks on one of America's most-beloved families. In doing so, they proved once again that their primary goal is not peaceful co-existence, but the elimination of traditional values in America.
Michelle Duggar
Michelle Duggar, of the popular TLC show “19 Kids and Counting” is under heat again from the media for publicly sharing her conservative religious views.
Earlier in the week, residents in Fayetteville, Arkansas received robo-calls from the famous mother, in which she warned families to protest a new anti-discrimination bill that went before the city council Tuesday night and passed. The ordinance prohibits employers or businesses from discriminating against transgenders in issues of housing, employment and public restrooms. In the robocall, Michelle Duggar warned parents that the new law would allow men to use women’s bathrooms and locker rooms, possibly endangering women and children.

The recent announcement by reality TV stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar that they are expecting their 20th child has proven yet another opportunity for journalists to snark about the Arkansas couple's choice to have a large family.
Take celebrity gossip writer Sonia Mansfield, who wrote a feature for The Examiner newspapers today.
"Maybe the Duggars are strong believers in No Egg Left Behind," Mansfield snarked in her November 10 piece, adding in the next paragraph that the (emphases below mine):
ABCNews.com republished a bigoted attack against a famously large Christian family on Tuesday. Amelia McDonell-Parry of gossip website TheFrisky.com snarked about Michelle Duggar's latest pregnancy in the post, stating that it "can't be good news...if you're at all concerned about overpopulation." She also hinted that Mrs. Duggar's daughter-in-law was forced to have a baby of her own.
McDonell-Parry, who is also an employee of Turner Broadcasting (no surprises there, as Ted Turner himself put down Catholics who bore the sign of their faith on their heads on Ash Wednesday) never explicitly mentioned the Duggars' deep Christian faith in her screed, titled "Surprise! Duggar Family Expecting Their 19th Child," but made it clear that she frowned upon the fertility of Mr. and Mrs. Duggar. Unsurprisingly, she incorporated her left-wing, sex-crazy views into her brief attack (warning: explicit language below the fold):
