Between Christians and Muslims, which group poses the greater threat to religious liberty in America? To  Marcotte, there’s an obvious answer: Christians. In a Wednesday Salon column, the lefty pundit claimed that “the big difference between conservative Muslims and Christians in this country is that only the latter have a massive, organized movement that is backed by an entire political party to force their theocratic views on the non-believers.”

Marcotte’s peg was Sean Hannity’s recent statement on his radio show that we ought to find out whether would-be Muslim immigrants to the U.S. favor sharia. Marcotte deemed Hannity’s remark “breathtaking in its hypocrisy,” given that Hannity, “like nearly all conservatives these days, is a strong believer in the Christian version of ‘sharia law,’ i.e. forcing conservative religious beliefs on the non-believers by law.”

Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera unleashed on President Obama on Monday's Hannity, after the American leader doubled down on his strategy against ISIS at a press conference earlier in the day. Rivera bluntly stated that "the President's feelings are way too squishy for me," and that "this is malignant wishful thinking on the President's part." He later contended that "to compare them to any organization, other than the Taliban before 9/11, is really sophomoric."

Those who hope that Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Mark Levin get to moderate a Republican presidential debate include Hannity himself, Ted Cruz, and Walsh. As they (almost) used to put it on Sesame Street, one of these persons is not like the others.

Walsh, who recently joined The Nation after more than a decade and a half at Salon, argued in a Friday article that such a debate would benefit Democrats because it would reinforce Republicans’ overconfidence in the popularity of their ideas: “Let the candidates stay within their wingnut bubble...and compete over who can be the most vicious to undocumented immigrants, the cruelest to women seeking abortions, and the kindest to the top one percent…Let the voters watch -- and then cast ballots for the Democrats in droves next November.”

Promoting the new season of his ABC sitcom Last Man Standing, actor and Republican Tim Allen joined Thursday’s Hannity on Fox News Channel (FNC) to blast the federal government over reckless spending, the national debt, and a culture of political correctness that he tries to rebuke on the show where he plays “a very smart Archie Bunker.”

Sean Hannity is sick of Chris Matthews's "hypocritical" pandering on issues of race, calling out the Hardball anchor, Monday, for smearing Republicans even as he protects MSNBC colleagues. Unloading, Hannity attacked, "...If that hypocrite, that phony, Chris Matthews, is so concerned about race issues, he has a colleague at his own network."

New York Times national reporter Jackie Calmes spent a semester at the Shorenstein Center at Harvard University studying "conservative media," and this week issued an exhaustive 16,000-word report with the oh-so-objective title, "'They Don't Give a Damn about Governing' -- Conservative Media’s Influence on the Republican Party," blaming the "far right" for killing the moderate, pragmatic GOP, while dismissing the very idea of a liberal mainstream media.

On the July 8 edition of Fox News’s Hannity, Geraldo Rivera and the host battled over immigration in the aftermath of the death of San Francisco Kate Steinle at the hands of an illegal immigrant. Geraldo insisted repeatedly that “these monstrous criminals” have virtually nothing in common with “the vast majority of undocumented immigrants.”

Hannity conceded that point and argued, “that’s not the issue.” The Fox News personality tried to make the point that these crimes would not happen if America had effective border security. He added: “[H]ere’s the problem. Even if we do deport them, they come back. You know why they can get back? Because we don't secure the border...He went to San Francisco because it's a sanctuary city and America under Obama has become a sanctuary country.”

On the June 24 edition of Hannity, National Review’s Mark Steyn was invited to the program to discuss the notion in much of the media that the Confederate flag is a Republican problem. Steyn slammed the history of the Democratic Party as one filled with hate: “The Democratic Party was the largest and most powerful institution supporting slavery in the English speaking world.”

The liberal media spend an inordinate amount of time fawning over Hollywood actors and reality stars who come out in support of liberal politicians and causes. They are less interested in those who embrace conservative beliefs and issues. The most recent example of this is a Marco Rubio endorsement ad by Rick Harrison of the History Channel’s hit reality show, Pawn Stars.

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell joined Sean Hannity on his eponymous Fox News Channel (FNC) program Thursday evening and ripped ABC for deciding to air a sitcom this fall that’s loosely based on the life of anti-religious bigot Dan Savage. The segment began with Hannity providing a brief synopsis of the upcoming show (titled The O’Neals) and highlighting how “several high-profile Christian groups and leaders have called for ABC to immediately pull the plug on Savage's new show.”

Former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw appeared on FNC’s Hannity Monday night to promote his memoir but when the subject of Brian Williams’ suspension was brought up, he insisted that “almost all” of the stories about the two of them were “wrong.”

On Tuesday night’s Hannity, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke slammed the ”liberal mainstream media” for ”propagating this false narrative about how law enforcement treats black males and people in the black community” in places like Baltimore and Ferguson. He accused the media of ginning up “race politics. They support a lot of the leftist agenda when it comes to this stuff, identity politics....they have become the mouthpiece, they have become the propaganda wing of leftist policy and leftist ideology.”
