Like the nag of a dripping faucet, the liberal news media spent years warning about melting glaciers and ice caps because of global warming.
Media outlets predicted an “ice-free” Arctic time and again, and so far have been wrong. But with all the panic about melting glaciers, or sea ice, or ice at the poles the media have reported, one would imagine good news about increasing ice would at least get some attention.
“Fight for $15,” the slogan trumpeted by activists campaigning to more than double the minimum wage, got another boost from CBS right before the Republican presidential debate aired on the Fox Business Network.
The protesters rallied in Milwaukee outside the GOP debate along with other activist groups like Black Lives Matter.
Candidate Donald Trump recently released his tax plan and the media were all over it. However, CBS seemed to suffer a case of amnesia between two broadcasts on its network.

Climate alarmist James Hansen recently dropped a “bombshell” study about rising seas, at least according to the media hyping his claims.
The former NASA lead climate scientist claimed sea levels could rise 10 feet in 50 years, which is far more than even the alarmist forecasts of the United Nations. Hansen and 16 co-authors published the study on July 23 in the open-source journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics. It has not been peer-reviewed.

Americans must buy qualified health insurance or face the larger of two tax penalty options when they file their 2014 taxes: $95 per adult and $47.50 per child up to $285 per family, or 1 percent of income up to $9,800, according to Kaiser Health News. These penalties are also scheduled to increase dramatically in the following years.

The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, started creating even more headaches for both employers and employees across the country beginning Jan. 1, 2015.
That was the day Obamacare’s employer mandate went into effect, requiring companies with 100 or more workers to provide health insurance to at least 70 percent of their employees. Mandates for smaller businesses will be introduced in 2016 in addition to increased mandates for larger companies, according to The Washington Post.
Grocery shoppers in California may soon be in for a shock. Egg prices could rise by 40 percent in California because of a new law that went into effect on January 1, 2015.
The law, championed by animal rights advocates, requires farmers selling eggs in California to house their hens in larger structures. This stipulation also applies to eggs brought into the state from other parts of the country. On January 1, CBS “Evening News” called it a “Happy New Year indeed” for chickens in California, but joked that “consumers may be missing the yolk” as egg prices rise.
Subtracting state and federal taxes and fees on gasoline, the price of a gallon of gas would fall below $2 in 29 states, according to data published by the American Petroleum Institute in October 2014, and by AAA. AAA said the national average for gas dropped to $2.394 per gallon on Dec. 22. while the average state and federal gas taxes and fees averaged a whopping 49.28 cents-per-gallon, or more than 20 percent of the total price.
Those gas taxes, which are hidden by being incorporated into the pump price of gasoline, also went unmentioned by the broadcast network evening shows from Sept. 29 to Dec. 21.
