Somebody’s Gotta Do It – CNN's Mike Rowe Pays Tribute to Navy Seabees

Mike Rowe, show host of CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It, is known for his own hard work and appreciating hard work. That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he praised one of the hardest working groups (and often the most overlooked) groups around– the Navy Seabees.

Do you know about the Navy Seabees?  If not, no worries.  Their work is rarely on the front pages of magazines (unless it’s their own - Seabee Magazine), and it’s one of the many reasons Mike Rowe is trying to get the word out about them.

Responding to a question on Facebook Tuesday about left-wing pundit Howard Dean attacking Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker as "unknowledgeable" for not graduating college, Mike Rowe, host of CNN's Somebody's Gotta Do It, dismantled Dean's assertion and wondered if America had "confused qualifications with competency."

Soon-to-be CNN host Mike Rowe – the former star of “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel – took to his Facebook page to express amusement that a 2006 photo promoting “Shark Week” was used by an NPR station in Kansas City to bash “Shark Week” as....jumping the shark.

Rowe wrote that the photo reminded him of being extremely scared (“pint of urine” scared) because it was taken “approximately five seconds before the shark behind me attempted to bite my mask off.”

 Viewers who watched Ed Schultz on Wednesday witnessed something rare on the liberal host's show: a guest who voted for Republican Mitt Romney in 2012. Dirty Jobs star Mike Rowe appeared and even got in a dig at Schultz's expense. After the MSNBC anchor touted his working class background and love for trucks, Rowe quipped, "I can make a call. I can have [a truck] in your driveway before you say, 'holy crap, I'm cancelled!' A surprised Schultz blurted, "I'm just trying every time slot here at MSNBC." Rowe joked, "Something's bound to stick." Earlier in the segment, the Dirty Jobs host laughed as Schultz called for him to join the Democratic Party: "You know, he is the perfect independent that we have to convince that it's their [Republicans] fault!"
