Lord of the Rings and X-Men star Ian McKellen on Wednesday asserted that Islamic terrorists have a “legitimate complaint” about the west. Appearing on Larry King Now, the actor discussed the “dreadful” murder of 130 people in Paris. McKellen equivocated, “I’m sure the legitimate complaint that your country and my country have meddled in their affairs is a fair one.”

Liberal actor Robert Redford slammed global warming skeptics as simply “afraid of change” and hit Barack Obama from the left, Tuesday, in an interview with Larry King. King set up the movie star by wondering, “Why are there still deniers?...Look at the weather.” Redford derided, “If you belong to a certain group of people that are afraid of change, which I think some people are. And so, I think they’re going to deny change when it happens.”

Hunger Games star Wes Bentley lashed out at Arkansas, Monday, deriding the “bigotry” and "hate" coming out of his home state after the governor signed a religious freedom law earlier this year. Appearing on Larry King Now, the star of such “classics” as Ghost Rider spewed, “It's a shame that I have to feel embarrassed to say I'm from Arkansas now because something so full of hate is coming from the place of my home.”

According to Larry King on Tuesday, the modern Republican Party is so conservative that it would reject Ronald Reagan. The former CNN anchor interviewed struggling Democratic candidate Lincoln Chafee. After King wondered "what happened to your party, you old party," the former Republican sneered, "It moved south. Back in the '60s, President Nixon had what they called the southern strategy." King concluded on his show carried on the Russian RT network: "In fact, that party now might even reject Nixon and Reagan."

Larry King on Wednesday sat silently with no objections as porn-peddler Larry Flynt smeared most cops as "racist" and "a lot" of priests as "pedophiles." King, who now hosts a show on Russia Today, asked for the Hustler publisher's "thoughts" on Ferguson and other cities. Flynt slimed, "To be a policeman in just about any police force in this nation, you have to have a certain mentality and unfortunately, that mentality incorporates racism."

Liberal actor Sean Astin appeared on Politicking With Larry King to talk about his "child"-like support for Hillary Clinton and a promise to support her "no matter what." Astin also explained his Twitter feud with conservative actor Adam Baldwin. Regarding Mrs. Clinton, the Lord of the Rings star asserted, "But somebody from the Hillary campaign reached out to me, I support her, default setting, the way a child would support someone."

Some may be surprised at this revelation, but Larry King still has a television show. The former CNN host is now on the propaganda outfit Russia Today, as well as Ora TV. On Wednesday, the reliably liberal host pushed gun control in a segment on the Second Amendment. Talking to Chuck Michel of the NRA, the anchor sneered, "So, when Sandy Hook happens, does the NRA feel bad?"

NBC's Chuck Todd on Thursday night found a new way to compliment Barack Obama. Politicking host Larry King asked the Meet the Press anchor if he "liked" the President. Todd quickly responded "yes" and added, "I mean, he's very easy to talk to – You do – you sit there and have these off-the-record sessions with him."

Just when it seemed that long-time interviewer Larry King and his successor, Piers Morgan, had settled into nice, quiet lives after both left the Cable News Network, along came an interview with radio “shock jock” Howard Stern on Wednesday, when King asserted that CNN should have hired American Idol host Ryan Seacrest instead of making the mistake of putting a “Britisher in prime time.”
Soon after, Morgan snarled back in a series of tweets in which he said he had always tried to be respectful to his predecessor but noted that King has been “a constant poisonous twerp towards me for three years, and I'm bored with it.” He added that there is no such word as "Britisher'” before growling that “research and facts were never your strong point, were they, Brooklyner?”

Appearing on Tuesday's NBC Today, former CNN talk show host Larry King ridiculed his former employer when asked if he would ever return to the cable channel: "The tough time I would have at CNN now, I think, would be doing this airplane story. Because I think I'd crack up laughing. I think I would have – you know, how many times can you cover a plane? Six weeks and all we know is it made a left turn."
