Singer/Songwriter Alicia Keys guest starred in “Sinned Against,” the latest episode of FOX’s Empire. Keys plays Skye Summers, a multi-platinum record selling “girl power pop” star. Teaming up with Jamal (Jussie Smollett), the two are collaborating on a record for Empire Music – the “Black and White” album. The song featured is taken directly from recent headlines in your local newspaper or your favorite news website’s homepage – the Black Lives Matter theme is strong - “I matter. You matter.”
Rosie O'Donnell

An angry Chris Matthews on Friday fumed over comedian Rosie O'Donnell becoming a laugh line at last Thursday's debate. Rather than allow that conservatives might object to the liberal comedian's trashing of conservatives, Matthews saw Republican voters as full of hate. Speaking of Donald Trump and the debate crowd in Cleveland, Ohio, Matthews derided, "...[Trump] threw Rosie O'Donnell under the bus, you know, a gay woman. He thought it would be a laughingstock and he turned her into the joke with that nasty audience last might."

If you watched Thursday night’s Republican debate and wished that a onetime Green Party presidential nominee had been asking the questions, then you agree with Washington correspondent John Nichols, who thinks Ralph Nader would be the “ideal prospect” to moderate presidential debates for both major parties.
Spoilsports might argue that Nader’s fifty-year record of lefty activism would make him a problematic choice to host a GOP debate. Nichols sidesteps that issue by pointing out that Nader is “neither a Republican nor a Democrat” and, besides, “he knows every issue, and he is on to every dodge that every contender might attempt when it comes to addressing the issues.”
A lengthy expose in the new Vanity Fair claims veteran journalist Barbara Walters wasn't thrilled that Rosie O'Donnell would return to The View. Writer Suzanna Andrews asked the show creator and long-time star if bringing back the liberal comedienne was a good idea. Walters paused and then responded, "Rosie and Whoopi together was not peaches and cream... I don’t think we needed the two of them together."

Liberal journalists from CBS’s Norah O’Donnell to the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank have questioned Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for not rejecting Rudy Giuliani’s comments about Barack Obama’s patriotism and for his response to a “gotcha” question about the President’s faith. But where were they when Walker himself was being called an un-American, tyrannical, racist woman-beater?
According to View co-host Rosie O'Donnell, the ongoing Brian Williams scandal is an example of why Americans should know that "what you hear on the news is not always the truth." While conservatives have been making that point for decades, the liberal O'Donnell seems to now agree.

The New York Post reports that just like that, Rosie O’Donnell has jumped ship at “The View” again, after less than half a year. O’Donnell is splitting with second “wife” Michelle Rounds and wants to focus on her children.
Rosie’s representative Cindi Berger confirmed the breakup, as well O’Donnell’s departure from “The View,” in a statement Friday night: “I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention.
Liberal View co-host Rosie O'Donnell on Thursday was disgusted by a falsehood repeatedly uttered by Brian Williams. After playing a clip of Williams apologizing for saying that an Army helicopter he was on in 2003 was hit by a RPG missile, O'Donnell unloaded, "So, I don't think he didn't remember that, I think he fabricated that story."

How badly did the Obama administration misjudge skipping the massive anti-terrorism rally in Paris? So severely that ardent liberal Rosie O'Donnell even attacked the administration.
The women of The View returned on Monday to reminisce about the legacy of the late Mario Cuomo and to praise the "cute" Cuomo family

A day after Rosie O’Donnell proclaimed that the CIA engaged in “horrific” and “illegal” “torture,” on Thursday morning the cast of ABC’s The View decided to revisit the controversial Democratic Senate report on the CIA’s use of enhanced interrogation techniques on suspected terrorists. Predictably, Rosie doubled-down on her claim that America “tortured” people but conservative co-host Nicolle Wallace eagerly slapped her down. The ABC host insisted that she has “never been more proud to defend the people who walk the line for this country and this city and the city in which I worked, the city where my mom and dad lived.”
9/11 truther Rosie O'Donnell on Wednesday lashed out against America's "horrific," "illegal" "torture." O'Donnell sparred with her fellow View co-host Nicolle Wallace over a new Senate report on the CIA and torture.
