The Big Three broadcast network evening newscasts can't get enough of The Donald. Together they spent a total of 11 minutes and 19 seconds on Donald Trump's dismissive remarks regarding John McCain's heroic endurance of brutality at the hands of the North Vietnamese during his time as a prisoner of war.

Here are the airtime totals: ABC -- 1 minute, 41 seconds; CBS 5 minutes, 11 seconds; NBC 4 minutes, 27 seconds.

NBC's Nightly News and CBS's Evening News led off with the Trump story, with the latter featuring a taped telephone interview with Trump by fill-in anchor Charlie Rose. True to form, ABC's World News Tonight led off with, you guessed it, severe weather stories about the nationwide heat wave and about heavy rains in southern California.
