Even though they like to mock conservatives for being “anti-science,” apparently basic chemistry is hard for the media.

The CBS Evening News on April 6, mixed up its chemical formulas during a story about a tragic case of carbon monoxide poisoning. 

The broadcast not once, but twice, showed viewers a graphic displaying the symbol CO2 – the chemical formula for carbon dioxide – instead of CO for carbon monoxide.

While climate alarmists in the media like to paint carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant, it’s actually a harmless gas that people breathe in and out every day. Carbon monoxide, however, is extremely toxic.

Monday's Evening News broadcast also displayed a chyron that misspelled CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman’s name as “Juliana.” Both issues have since been corrected on the version of the broadcast on CBS's website.
