CBS lifted its blackout of House Speaker John Boehner's planned lawsuit against the Obama White House with a 15-second news brief on Thursday's CBS This Morning. The network follows in the footsteps of NBC, which first mentioned the story a day earlier on Wednesday's Today, and ABC on Wednesday's World News.

Altogether, the Big Three networks have devoted just one minute and 18 seconds to the legal development. Anchor Norah O'Donnell cited the Washington Post's coverage of the lawsuit during the brief: [MP3 audio available here; video below the jump]

NORAH O'DONNELL: The Washington Post says House Speaker John Boehner is pursuing a federal lawsuit against President Obama. Boehner accuses the President of abusing his authority by using executive orders Congress doesn't support. But Boehner isn't saying which actions would be named in the suit.

ABC's morning show, Good Morning America, has yet to cover the Republican politician's legal move. Instead, Thursday's GMA aired full reports on the "hazards of grilling" and a FDA warning about two ingredients in "common acne treatments used by millions of Americans."

CBS's evening newscast, CBS Evening News, has also omitted Speaker Boehner's lawsuit. Apparently, it was more pressing to air news briefs on Diane Sawyer leaving ABC's World News and the latest development in the NFL concussion lawsuit.
