Bill Maher made a truly disgusting comment about former President George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara Friday.

During the opening monologue of HBO’s Real Time, the host sad, “Over the years they were often mistaken for a same-sex couple” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

BILL MAHER: Former President Bush, not the most-recent one, 41, not 43, the old one. the one from the’90s, George Herbert Walker Bush and Barbara Bush, his wife, served as witnesses at a same-sex marriage up in Maine. And I applaud them for that. It’s big for them to do that.

I think I know why they are very sensitive to this issue, because over the years they were often mistaken for a same-sex couple.

This is an obvious slight at the former First Lady insinuating that she looks like a man.

As Maher has sadly demonstrated over the years, when it comes to Republicans, nothing is sacred.
