A year-ending survey of the most-admired men in the world finds President Obama topping the list, with second-place honors going to both Pope Francis and Donald Trump, who tied with 5 percent of the vote.

Relaying news of the Gallup poll in their Cheat Sheet digest (pictured at right via screen capture) Daily Beast editors sneered "Unholy," referring to the second-place tie, not to the controversial, unpopular Democratic president's top billing: 

Donald Trump and Pope Francis tied for second in 2015’s most admired man in the world poll, falling behind only President Obama in a Gallup survey released Monday. Americans surveyed named Hillary Clinton as the year’s most admired woman. Behind Clinton, Americans named 2014 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai with 5 percent, followed by Oprah Winfrey and first lady Michelle Obama with 4 percent. Obama earned 17 percent on the men’s side, his eighth time atop the list.
