Last week, liberal news outlet Salon did their best to convince themselves that Pope Francis never even wanted to meet with Kentucky clerk and conscientious objector Kim Davis. And they did so quite colorfully, claiming that the pontifix was “Ratf***ed” into a meeting with the Rowen County, Kentucky elected official.

Associated Press (AP), the arbiters of style for journalism, issued new rules related to global warming and climate change coverage, infuriating liberal environmentalists.

Their anger stemmed from AP’s guidance which said to use the label “climate change doubters” or “those who reject mainstream climate science” when discussing those that do not accept man-made climate change, rather than “skeptics” or “deniers.”

The left is up in arms over the pharmaceutical CEO who raised prices for a drug mostly used by AIDS patients by more than 5,000 percent, but experts CNBC interviewed said regulatory barriers helped make it possible.

Founder and CEO of Turing Pharmaceutical, Martin Shkreli bought the generic drug Daraprim, which is used for parasitic infections in pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. He hiked its cost from $13.50 a pill to $750, a whopping 5,455 percent.

Paul Krugman’s anti-austerity, pro-Keynesian views sounds like a broken record, even to the left-wing publications that agree with him.

Mike Pesca, who has a daily podcast for Salon called “The Gist,” said that the Nobel Prize-winning economist’s opinion columns for The New York Times are getting tiresome because he mostly talks about the same three things. Pesca noted, “He says austerity is bad, inflation fears are overblown and Keynes was right. I get it. I agree.”

Today is the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, and University of Massachusetts professor Christian Appy wants America to apologize for not allowing the death toll to be more proportional. In a recent article, the anti-American liberal professor suggested that the Allied Forces should have been willing to sacrifice tens of thousands of Americans and extend the war instead of utilizing Little Boy— the atomic bomb born out of the Manhattan project.

Being out of lockstep with climate alarmism infuriates the left, including liberal online magazine editors like Salon Deputy Editor Peter Finocchiaro.

Finocchiaro lashed out at Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, on July 10, with at least eight nasty names or adjectives including "goon," "loony," "buffoonish" and "marble-mouthed" because Gohmert had the audacity to say that Pope Francis had been taken in by global warming alarmists.

Mary Elizabeth Williams of Salon was at it again Monday, writing that if pro-lifers truly cared about mothers and babies, they would push for more abortion! In her article, the liberal extremist argues that the pro-life movement in general doesn’t care about the lives of women, simply because they promote doing everything possible to protect unborn lives.

It appears the writers over at Salon have an interesting definition of “marriage equality.” Gay marriage proponent and radical feminist Mary Elizabeth Williams showed her true colors on the issue today by claiming “fringe groups”, like those who practice polygamy, should not have access to new freedoms detailed in the recent SCOTUS case which granted gay couples marriage recognition nationwide.

The rising doubts about the Rolling Stone rape story have become so widespread that now even Salon is becoming skeptical. However, Salon writer Erin Keane admits she completely bought into the story until other sources began checking it out. The admission can be seen in the headline of her story: "Rolling Stone’s UVA rape story backlash: When narratives are so compelling that we don’t notice unbalanced reporting."

While liberals always hate to “let a good tragedy go to waste,” Joan Walsh – editor at large of Salon magazine – might have set a new record for implementing that strategy just hours after Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan died on Thursday.

“It’s probably no accident,” she declared, that the Liberian's passing “happened in [governor] Rick Perry’s Texas. More than 1.5 million Texans, with a median income of $833, are going uninsured because Perry rejected Medicaid funding” when he and his administration turned down participation in the ObamaCare program.

In a historically illiterate Salon piece, writer Heather Digby Parton argued that “right-wing hatred” of John F. Kennedy ultimately led to his death, and that a climate of hate is once again growing because of the right’s reaction to President Obama. Of course, the entire premise of Parton’s piece is false because JFK was not assassinated by any crazy ‘gun nut’ right-winger, as she might have you believe.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a proud Communist who adored the Soviet Union. But one wouldn't know that from the article. In fact, the words "Lee Harvey Oswald" are never mentioned. Parton cited some evidence that there was extreme rhetoric directed toward Kennedy from the right, and connects that to the fact that he was ultimately killed. She asserted that “The right-wing hatred for John F. Kennedy was in some ways as extreme as the hatred for Barack Obama and nowhere was it more energized than Dallas in 1963.”

In a bigoted screed against Christians, Alternet’s Valerie Tarico wrote a piece appearing at Salon.com that accused evangelical Christians of being evildoers who – in their spare time – kill and abuse gay people, subjugate women, destroy the Earth, oppose rights for children, and promote holy war. Yes, this is no exaggeration. It appears that this is a new low, if that was even possible for frequent Hardball guest Joan Walsh’s website.

The condescension directed toward evangelical Christians is palpable throughout the piece, and it borders on abject hatred, concluding with a passive-aggressive line that suggests Tarico has fantasies of the slaughter of conservative Christians.
