Our good friend Brian Maloney of the Radio Equalizer blog appeared on Wednesday's edition of Hannity to discuss left-wing radio hosts and their hateful rhetoric about conservatives.

Even though their ratings are paltry compared to conservative talk radio, it's vitally important to shine a light on their hate and criticize it, Maloney argued. "Pay attention to what they're saying, because often times what you hear on these shows ends up on the smear left websites, etc." and motivates the left-wing base to show up on election day. While (national) reporters can't seem to ask President Obama a pointed question about Libya, on the Bill Press show on Friday, Press insisted the favorite Democrat story of the week (Richard Mourdock's pro-life comments on rape) has national reporters proving, according to Press, that Mitt Romney "doesn't have any courage."

Press' s producer Peter Ogburn said liberal reporter-friends of the Press show are pushing the story in Romney's face: "Our friend Sam Youngman from Reuters -- who we have the on the show as often as we can, because he’s on the road. But he was on the road yesterday. He said at a breakfast stop, me and Steve Peoples from Associated Press and Lisa Lerer from Bloomberg asked Romney repeatedly about Mourdock. He did not respond. So he was there, Sam was one of the people asking the questions, and Romney didn’t bother responding." Press said that insulted all women in America:

In case anyone is in doubt that Liberal Talk Radio-land can display the tendency to all hit the same talking points, many liberal hosts all hit the same post-debate theme on Thursday: Mitt Romney only won because he shamelessly lied his face off. (They find it charming when Clinton does.)

Al Sharpton was outraged, as if he never lied as he was callously spreading the Tawana Brawley racial hoax: “I think there is nothing admirable and applaud-able [?] about a man standing up 90 minutes and making his case by distortion and lies."

What is it about leftists and their hate-hate affair with America?

RadioOrNot.com host Nicole Sandler, formerly of the justifiably defunct Air America Radio, has upped the ante on libtalker Bill Press, who vented about his visceral loathing for the national anthem, and chirpy MSNBC weekend host Chris Hayes, who sniffed in disdain at the notion of fallen soldiers as "heroes." George W. Bush re-entered the White House the other day to welcome in a new painting that will hang in the executive mansion. The mere thought of this visit sent liberal radio hack Randi Rhodes into a frenzy on Thursday against Bush: "Here's the man who destroyed the world! Truly, financially destroyed the world. He was - you talk about terrorism - economic terrorism - the entire globe is still trying to recover from the policies that America put forward."

Rhodes played prosecutor: "The deregulation of the financial markets - the entire world is still trying to recover from what this guy did and from what this guy didn't do - Osama bin Laden, he left him. Iraq, he left it. Afghanistan - oh, the hell with it. Uh -the financial industry- deregulate - let's - let's have a party! The whole world is trying to recover and he's making jokes, he's making jokes!"

Liberal radio hosts obviously feel Ann Romney is a big fat target of mockery. When it was revealed a shirt she wore on CBS This Morning retails for $990, they pounced. Bill Press even insisted Mrs. Romney should be more like Michelle Obama – which doesn’t match the fashion facts from Hawaii last Christmas.

On the Stephanie Miller show, one regular guest, gay activist Karl Frisch, brought out the anti-Mormon wisecracks: “If a T-shirt is a thousand dollars where Ann Romney shops, how much is the magic underwear?” Miller laughed, and her sidekick Chris Lavoie added, “There you go!”  Randi Rhodes just exploded:

Imagine if Rush Limbaugh said this about the two Johns ticket of Kerry and Edwards in 2004.

Randi Rhodes does what she can to make her presence known in that barren wasteland known as liberal radio. Unfortunately, it usually consists of little more than bloviating inanities. (audio clip after page break)

On Monday, liberal radio talker Randi Rhodes ripped into the South, including a wish that it would secede again. She played clips of HBO interviews of Southerners done for Bill Maher and complained "Bobby Jindal even converted from Hinduism -- Nikki Haley, too -- in order to be acceptable to the conservative South in Louisiana and uh -- [about a five second pause] Georgia! I mean, that is crazy that in order to be acceptable to the party you have to, you know, pretend that you've given up your religion!"

Haley is governor of South Carolina, not Georgia, and her family are Sikh, not Hindu. Jindal converted to Catholicism in high school, so it's a little tough to argue it was all political calculation. Haley and her husband attend a Methodist church but she also was married in the Sikh faith out of respect for her parents. Liberal outlets like NPR have raised questions about the sincerity of her conversion.

Liberal talker Randi Rhodes on Wednesday insisted Mitt Romney would be desperate enough to do anything to be president, despite his claim that he wouldn't light his hair on fire to be president.

"Mitt Romney would light his hair on fire if it meant he could win the presidency, okay," said Rhodes. He'd torch the whole family. "He would light his hair on fire, set fire to his opponents' hair, the hair of his followers, he would set Ann's hair on fire, his boys' hair on fire." She said "He would fly a penis-shaped NASCAR over the Grand Canyon with his hair on fire and his dog strapped to the roof if it meant he could win the presidency."

On Thursday, December 1, several left-wing radio talkers viciously attacked Newt Gingrich, the GOP front-runner. There is a special toxicity level they reach when talking of the former House speaker.

Take Randi Rhodes, who mocked his appearance: "He always looks like a corpse that was pulled out of a lake! Every time I watch CSI and they pull somebody out of the lake, I think, hey, is that Newt? No, it's this week's murder victim. He's bloated and a massive mutiliated middle aged flesh curtain hanging!" Then take Mike Malloy, who compared Newt to an ax murderer and railed against his bad breath:

On Wednesday, liberal talk radio host Randi Rhodes found nothing wrong with Occupy Oakland protesters throwing rocks and bottles at police (and even Mother Jones confirms that). She seemed to ignore reality entirely, asking “If you conservatives are so against class warfare, why are the cops using warfare tactics against peaceful demonstrators?”

Some may have been peaceful, but the police didn’t fight back because the protesters were all “peaceful.” But Rhodes was on a roll: “Why warfare? Why rubber bullets or any kind of bullets? Why tear gas or any kind of gas? What is the justification for throwing these, uh, concussion bombs at women -- and children? I don't get it!”

On Thursday's edition of the Randi Rhodes radio show, the liberal hate was flowing. Rhodes suggested Rush Limbaugh was a racist for being offended by Obama's transparent scheduling-over-the-debate ploy, and she suggested he facially resembled the serial child-molester/murderer John Wayne Gacy.

She also agreed with Rep. Maxine Waters that the Tea Party should go to Hell -- and will, in the long run, since they are obstructing disaster aid for spending offsets: "I don't think Jesus said 'Let people drown'!"
