On Tuesday night, the decision by the major broadcast network to erase the Planned Parenthood scandal from their newscasts continued with the release of a sickening third video by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) that again discussed the selling of body parts from aborted babies. As the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC were ignoring this third video, the trio spent six minutes and 26 seconds teasing and reporting on the shooting death of a high-profile African lion in Zimbabwe by an American dentist.

No one would go broke betting the liberal media will try harder and harder to avoid new videos from the Center for Medical Progress. While the first video drew some coverage, both print and broadcast media shamelessly downplayed or ignored the second video.
On Tuesday’s edition of The Five on the Fox News Channel (FNC), liberal panelist Geraldo Rivera defended Planned Parenthood in wake of the video scandal concerning body parts from aborted babies, fretting that it “might put an end to the harvesting of what would be garbage” that “may” help contribute to a “cure for cancer” or “heart disease.”

On Tuesday's New Day, CNN's Alisyn Camerota made no mention of the outrage over Planned Parenthood varying its abortion techniques in order to preserve unborn babies' organs for medical research, as was revealed in two undercover videos. Instead, Camerota zeroed in on "these representatives from Planned Parenthood negotiating" over prices for these organs. She even touted how the "exchange of fetal tissue...obviously, does a lot of good. There's a lot of research – cures for diseases that come from it."

The New York Times on Tuesday again jumped to the defense of Planned Parenthood and the organization's selling of fetal tissue from aborted babies. Writers Denise Grady and Nicholas St. Fleur devoted almost all of the nearly 1500 word story to defending the practice, despite a headline that describes the "Shadowy Trade in Fetal Tissue." Grady and St. Fleur began by calling the controversy, which includes doctors discussing how to maximize revenue from fetal tissue, "just one more battle in the nation’s long war over abortion."

A horrifying new video shows exactly what Planned Parenthood does with the parts from aborted babies.
The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a third investigative video July 28 showing a former “procurement technician,” Holly O’Donnell, explain how Planned Parenthood would “get a certain percentage” of compensation from her former employer, StemExpress, for harvesting aborted baby parts. From her very first day at a Planned Parenthood clinic, a trainer instructed O’Donnell to pick apart an aborted baby and identify parts, including “a leg” with tweezers.
The video also caught another Planned Parenthood executive saying she wanted payment per baby specimen to see “how much we can get out of it.”
The Brooklyn birth-control clinic to which Planned Parenthood traces its roots opened in the fall of 1916, but according to Molly Redden, there’s concern on the left that the two recent so-called sting videos have damaged PP’s reputation to the point that the organization might not even be around for its hundredth anniversary.
“That Planned Parenthood is the target of a withering attack by anti-abortion activists is no surprise,” wrote Redden in a Thursday piece. “But this time seems different, with some of Planned Parenthood's strongest allies drawing nervous comparisons to the 2009 sting operation that destroyed” ACORN. Redden contended that the videos have taken the focus from PP the “critical women's health care provider” and instead made it “seem like a sinister outfit that profits wildly from abortion.”

Last Monday, Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist found a noticeable "lack of ferocity" on the Planned Parenthood tapes in the liberal media. So she composed a long list of questions incurious reporters should be asking if they somehow thought the story was prematurely exhausted. (Remember when they mocked George W. Bush as incurious?)
Hemingway also did a little Nexis searching to show how aggressively these same outlets could explore the issue of the Confederate flag, which isn't involved in selling the body parts of dead babies, but draws more outrage from "objective" reporters (this was before the second tape, which was mostly ignored):
What is most shocking about an undercover video of a conversation between Deborah Nucatola, a Planned Parenthood executive, and two antiabortion activists from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) posing as employees from a biotech firm is why anyone is shocked.
MRC Research Director Rich Noyes appeared Friday on FNC's Your World with Neil Cavuto and he slamed the "pathetic" coverage by the broadcast networks of the Planned Parenthood scandal. Regarding the undercover sting video of the abortion activists discussing the selling of body parts from aborted babies, Noyes derided: "If this had been a hidden camera expose, say, of a conservative politician, you would be seeing a lot more [coverage]."

In a discussion on Planned Parenthood today on Morning Joe, regular MSNBC contributor and editor of Bloomberg Politics Mark Halperin championed the popularity of the ‘family planning’ organization. Halperin asserted that “Planned Parenthood in general and what they do – as we saw with Mitt Romney – is pretty popular with a lot of people who will vote in this presidential election.”
On Thursday’s edition of The O’Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel, host Bill O’Reilly cited statistics complied by the Media Research Center to lambast the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC for their minuscule coverage of the Planned Parenthood video scandal which O’Reilly and guest Bernie Goldberg found to be yet another sign that “[l]iberal philosophy dominates” the news media.
