Scarborough Says Cop Would Shoot Him If He Behaved Like Michael Brown

During Wednesday's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, Joe Scarborough asserted that if he behaved like 18-year-old Michael Brown did during the August 9 incident in Ferguson, Mo., a police officer would have reacted the same way Darren Wilson did even though the co-host is “a white guy.”

“There are two criminal justice systems in America,” Scarborough claimed at the start of the segment. “Black young men especially are not only treated worse on the street, they're treated worse in the court system, they're treated worse all the way through. What white kids get away with, black kids don't get away with.”

This week has been a busy time for conservative icon Glenn Beck. During his Monday program, Beck admitted to his audience at TheBlaze.com that he had been suffering from a rare neurological disease for five years, but after undergoing hormone therapy, electric stimulation and other treatments -- not to mention relying on his faith in God -- the disease has been reversed, and he's on his way to an almost total recovery.

Then on Tuesday, MSNBC's Ed Schultz stated that Beck had “access and opportunity” to get the best treatment possible and declared: “I hope that his story motivates those who think that ObamaCare is bad, that maybe they will rethink” their opposition to the Affordable Care Act.

'Morning Joe' Analyst: GOP Senate Takeover Could Be Best Result for Obama, America

With only one day to go before the midterm elections, the panelists on Monday's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program focused on what could happen if the Republicans take the Senate and gain seats in the House of Representatives.

“I think this is going to be the best thing to ever happen to Barack Obama,” regular analyst Donny Deutsch asserted. “It might wake him up and re-energize him during his last two years” in the White House.

CNN, HLN Dumped From Dish Network, Replaced With MSNBC Programs

Just when the Cable News Network had actually gained ground in its ratings by picking up 555,000 viewers -- a rise of two percent -- in the third quarter of 2014, CNN has become one of the seven victims of a contract dispute between its parent company, Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting, and the Dish Network, which has 14 million subscribers.

Another news-related casualty of the dispute is HLN, which lost 352,000 viewers from July through September. Formerly known as Headline News, the network's viewership fell four percent during that period.

Sharpton Slams Ferguson Police Chief's Apology as 'Too Little, Too Late'

On Thursday morning, Thomas Jackson -- the chief of police for the city of Ferguson -- released a video in which he apologized for many things, including the death of Michael Brown, the African-American teenager who was shot and killed by white police officer Darren Wilson on August 9.

Later that day, Rev. Al Sharpton – host of the weekday afternoon PoliticsNation program on the MSNBC cable channel -- attacked the apology as “too little, too late.”

Might be time for MSNBC to tighten security at its studios. I'm not sure who was hosting “The Rachel Maddow Show” last night, but it sure as heck could not have been the cable program's namesake. The person certainly looked and sounded like Maddow, no doubt about that, but once you hear what she said, I think you'll agree there's no possible way it was Maddow.

'Right-Leaning' Joe Scarborough, Tim Russert's Son Added As 'Meet the Press' Panelists

In an effort to reverse the perpetual and disastrous ratings slide Meet the Press experienced during David Gregory's tenure as anchor of the Sunday morning program, NBC is going all out and bringing in Joe Scarborough, the co-host of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, to provide a “right-leaning voice” during panel discussions, and the son of the late -- and still beloved -- former host Tim Russert.

These changes will take effect on Sunday, the first edition under the guidance of the show's 11th moderator, Chuck Todd, who was formerly the chief White House correspondent for the network and host of The Daily Rundown on MSNBC.

The family of Steven Sotloff, the second American journalist beheaded in the past two weeks by members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria -- or ISIS -- is reportedly “outraged” at President Barack Obama and his staff for making “deliberate leaks,” which the relatives interpret as “an attempt to absolve the administration of inaction.”

While this might seem to be the basis of an extensive news article investigating that angle of the conflict between the terrorist group and America, the New York Times reported on it -- in the final three paragraphs of a lengthy article in its Tuesday edition.

In case the tampon earrings and musings on child custody hadn’t clued us in to the ongoing Whack-A-Mole game in Melissa Harris-Perry’s brain, she’s shared her fantasy of abortion entertainment by Beyoncé. 

During “The Melissa Harris-Perry Show,” the MSNBC host had an “imagining” that the screen projection during Beyoncé’s 2014 MTV Video Music Awards Show (VMAs) performance spelled out “abortion” instead of “feminist.”  On her August 30 show, Harris-Perry explained, “I do wonder if it could have been even more political, like beyond the ‘F’ word.” Video Below.

Andrea Mitchell Does About-Face on Russia: 'Who Says Cold War Isn't Back?'

During the 2012 presidential campaign, GOP candidate Mitt Romney called Russia “without question our No. 1 geopolitical foe,” a comment that was mocked by many Democrats and members of the press. One of those belittling the Republican's remark was MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, who admitted that the foreign country is “hardly an ally, but certainly not an adversary.”

Two years later, the host of Andrea Mitchell Reports tweeted: “Obama sends Putin a letter today accusing Russia of violating 1987 Reagan/Gorbachev missile treaty. Who says the Cold War isn't back?” The vast majority of posters responded: “You did!”                                    

Lawrence O’Donnell Falsely Claims Republicans Want to Repeal Immigration Law Protecting Children From Sex Trafficking

On the July 23 edition of The Last Word, in an apparent effort to demonize conservatives as being uninterested in protecting children who were victims of sex trafficking, Lawrence O’Donnell deliberately misinterpreted the Republican position on the 2008 immigration law signed by President Bush.

O’Donnell played a clip of Congressman Mo Brooks (R-Alabama) expressing his support for sending illegal immigrant children back to their home countries. Brooks elaborated further by saying, “Now, if in fact some are, for example, being trafficked for slavery or sex purposes, that's a different issue.” Despite this clear statement, the host of The Last Word claimed that “one of the positions that these Republicans are holding is that they want to repeal the law that President Bush signed, which is about protecting children from sex trafficking. So they want to be on record as not wanting to protect children from this kind of sex trafficking.” [MP3 audio here; video below]

Howard Stern Fan Fools MSNBC's Krystal Ball On Air: 'You're A Dumb A**'

Even after all these years, some people still fall for Howard Stern’s tricks. Reacting to the plane crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, MSNBC’s The Cycle supposedly brought on U.S. Staff Sergeant Michael Boyd. He claimed to have seen the missile in the air hit the plane. Suffice it to say, Krystal Ball’s interview did not go as planned.

Ball led off by asking “Boyd” what he saw on the ground in Ukraine. He responded: " Well, I was looking out the window and I saw a projectile flying through the sky and it would appear that the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern’s ass." [MP3 audio here; video below]
