Maj. Jason Brezler of the United States Marine Corps Reserves, is not a household name. But perhaps he should be. Brezler's military career is ruined thanks to one fleeting email transgression, and that committed as a split-second decision to save the lives of American servicemen in imminent danger. While Hillary Clinton will likely not suffer serious criminal or political repercussions for her sending classified material from a private email, Brezler's career ir probably ruined.

Daily Beast contributor Michael Daly, once a columnist for the New York Daily News, marked the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's assassination by telling the story of Nancy Bushrod, the wife of a slave-turned-soldier who met Lincoln on his last day. But by the story's end, Daly had turned it into a promotion for President Hillary Clinton, and even President Michelle Obama.

Kudos are in order for the Daily Beast's Michael Daly and his attention to how "Cuba Protects America’s Most Wanted." While many in the liberal media are uncritically heralding President Obama's push for normalized relations with the Communist dictatorship, Mr. Daly points out the matter of how the Castro regime has granted asylum for American fugitives from justice.

Smartphone makers like Apple are partially to blame for violent muggings and the murder of at least one teenage girl young woman. While not explicitly stated on air, that was the logical implication of a segment of today's NewsNation program on MSNBC, guest-anchored by Craig Melvin and featuring Daily Beast special correspondent Michael Daly.

"If you're walking around with a smartphone in your pocket, then you're walking bait for thieves in this country who last year zoned in on the smartphones like never before," Melvin noted as he opened the segment, adding:

Even as he hailed Bill de Blasio's "progressive revolution," The Daily Beast's Michael Daly sought to downplay fears that the newly-sworn-in mayor was a radical leftist intent on soaking the rich. Instead Daly practically painted a picture of the Democratic politician as a drum major leading the "march" to a more "equal" New York.

While noting de Blasio was a "leader speaking much the same language" as the now moribund Occupy Wall Street movement, Daly insisted the left-of-center David Dinkins acolyte "was only asking [wealthy New Yorkers] to pay 'a little more.'" Heck, de Blasio "suggested that the city’s very wealthiest would be paying only $973 more a year," no big whoop:

Slamming the New York Police Department for its stop-and-frisk policy has been something of a favored sport by the left this summer. So imagine my pleasant surprise to find a positive piece about New York's finest at the Daily Beast this morning.

"Thank the Cops" read a teaser headline in the lightbox dominating the top left column of the page. "They may not have gotten any love at the VMAs, but if the cops hadn't cleaned up that crime-ridden block in Brooklyn, there would have been no red carpet" for the MTV awards program, added an editorial caption. Writer Michael Daly explained not only how smart policing helped "save the city" but reminded readers that dedicated NYPD officers in the 1950s helped save Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and with it, the iconic "I Have a Dream" speech that followed five years later:

As media members fall over themselves railing against conservatives for Saturday's tragedy in Tucson, they seem to be becoming more unhinged with their accusations.

Consider the following headline published by the New York Daily News:
