Good evening NBers. In about half an hour, NewsBusters founder and executive editor Matt Sheffield and I will be live-tweeting a speech by News Corp. founder and chairman Rupert Murdoch. A feed of our tweets can be seen below the fold.

News Corp. is the world's second largest media conglomerate, and the parent company of, among many others, the Wall Street Journal, Fox News Channel, and MySpace.

According to the National Press Club's website, Murdoch will speak about "the future of journalism and the media."

There is a new group throwing its hat in the "reform the conservative movement" ring. They are called the Young Conservatives Coalition and they want to raise up a new generation of conservative leaders. Here is a snippet of how they describe themselves:

The YCC is an advocacy organization dedicated to leading the next generation of the conservative movement by organizing and mobilizing young professional conservatives across the country. The coalition seeks to answer two questions: 1.) What does it mean to be a conservative in the year 2009? and 2.) Who will lead the next generation of the conservative movement?

ST. PAUL, Minn.-- NewsBusters editor Matthew Sheffield appeared on KIRO radio, 710 AM in Seattle and available online streaming right here. Sheffield was a guest on the Dori Monson Show, live from Radio Row at the Republican Convention.

Among the topics: the liberal lineup at MSNBC covering the Democratic and Republican conventions versus the more politically balanced staff at Fox News, as well as the on-air spat between Chris Matthews and uber-liberal Keith Olbermann.

Monson, a daily reader of NewsBusters.org, also brought up Olbermann's swipe at an AP reporter who panned Obama's acceptance speech.
