On Thursday morning, NBC’s Today ignored the latest revelations in the controversy surrounding the Clinton Foundation’s practice of accepting donations from countries with questionable human rights records. In contrast, CBS This Morning devoted a full 2 minutes and 32 seconds to the Clinton Foundation whereas ABC’s Good Morning America gave it just 60 seconds but bundled the story in with Chris Christie’s recent stop in New Hampshire in an attempt to downplay its significance.

On Monday night, ABC, CBS, and NBC combined to ignore the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal with zero coverage of it in their evening newscasts. ABC and NBC also failied to mention the growing controversy surrounding the millions of dollars in donations to the Clinton Foundation from foreign governments and individuals. The CBS Evening News, however, stood out with a report that scrutinized the millions in donations from foreign individuals and spotlighted one member of Chinese parliament who gave $2 million to the organization in 2013.

On Friday, CBS This Morning reported on news that Duke University had cancelled plans to have a Muslim call-to-prayer projected from the school’s famous bell tower at the Duke Chapel and, while Duke suggested that there were “several factors” that led to the decision, the segment prominently tied it to Rev. Franklin Graham and subsequent threats against them.
CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman fretted that the cancellation came as “students, faculty, and administrators spent months working on a new way to make campus feel more inclusive for its 700 Muslims.”

Julianna Goldman, who endured a marriage to former FNC, MSNBC, Current and Al-Jazeera America host/reporter David Shuster, got married on Saturday, in Aspen, Colorado, to Michael Gottlieb, a former associate White House counsel for Obama.
The New York Times reported on Sunday that Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, a former colleague of Gottlieb’s at the White House, “officiated.”

White House reporters are keeping quiet about an off-the-record lunch today with President Obama — even those at news organizations who've advocated in the past for the White House to release the names of visitors.
But the identities of the lunch's attendees won't remain secret forever: Their names will eventually appear on the White House's periodically updated public database of visitor logs.
... The Obama White House began posting the logs in order to settle a lawsuit, begun under the Bush administration, from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), which sought the Secret Service's White House visitor logs under the Freedom of Information Act.
... And guess who filed briefs supporting that argument? Virtually every newspaper that covers the White House.
