Even CNN Anchors Stunned Obama Still Has No Strategy to Defeat ISIS

During Monday's edition of the Cable News Network program At This Hour With Berman and Bolduan, anchors John Berman and Kate Bolduan played a clip of Barack Obama admitting that he still has no complete strategy to defeat ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

Noting that the president said almost the same thing about the same subject last year, Berman called Obama's comments “surprising,” and Bolduan stated that “he is really opening himself up to criticism, especially ... in light of the continued gains by ISIS.”

As NewsBusters has often reported, MSNBC's line-up has led the cable news channel to a freefall in the ratings, with Baltimore Sun media critic David Zurawik blasting the schedule as “unwatchable” and “24 hours a day of mess.”

In an article posted on Thursday, Politico columnist Dylan Byers reported that the channel's daytime year-to-date viewership “is down 21 percent overall and 41 percent in the coveted 25- to 54-year-old demographic.”

During the Tuesday edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, co-host Joe Scarborough slammed the judges in his home state of Alabama who are refusing to obey a U.S. Supreme Court order to begin issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples.

He referred to the judges who are “ignoring the Constitution of the United States” -- led by Roy Moore, Alabama's chief justice, who declared that the January ruling in favor of gay marriage by U.S. District Judge Ginny Granade should be disregarded -- as an “embarrassment” to the state “I love and adore.”

During Friday's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, co-host Joe Scarborough fired back at President Barack Obama's comment that Christians and members of other faiths should not get on their “high horses” regarding Islamic violence given their own religions’ misdeeds in the past, including the Crusades and the Inquisition.

“It's unbelievable,” he noted, that the president had to “go back 700, 800, 900 years” to find an example of Christian extremism. “You see this when you have people” who want to say: “Yes, radical Islam is bad, but look at what Christianity does.”

The perpetual battle for last place in the cable “news” channels took an interesting turn on Thursday, when the Cable News Network took out a full-page advertisement in the New York Times claiming that while MSNBC's Morning Joe program was “leaning forward” -- a reference to that channel's motto -- CNN's New Day show was “moving ahead!”

“SORRY, JOE,” the title glared before the text below bragged: “In January, CNN's New Day beat MSNBC's Morning Joe for the 4th month in a row in total viewers and the 7th month in a row” among adults in the critical demographic of viewers from 25 to 54 years of age.

During Wednesday's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, Joe Scarborough asserted that if he behaved like 18-year-old Michael Brown did during the August 9 incident in Ferguson, Mo., a police officer would have reacted the same way Darren Wilson did even though the co-host is “a white guy.”

“There are two criminal justice systems in America,” Scarborough claimed at the start of the segment. “Black young men especially are not only treated worse on the street, they're treated worse in the court system, they're treated worse all the way through. What white kids get away with, black kids don't get away with.”

On Monday’s Morning Joe on MSNBC, MSNBC contributor and managing editor of Bloomberg Politics Mark Halperin slammed the indictment of Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) by an Austin, Texas-area grand jury for threatening to veto funding for a Democratic District Attorney’s public integrity unit after she was convicted of a DUI as “the stupidest thing I’ve seen, I think, in my entire career.”

Expanding further on his opinion, Halperin added that: “I hope some judge throws it out right away. It's not just kind of funny and ridiculous, but it’s an infringement on individual liberty. He’s got a First Amendment right just cause he’s governor of Texas and I think it’s – like you said, it's easy to joke about this, but this is a serious thing. On today's Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski announced that she will be not merely be covering a pay protest by fast-food workers in Detroit on August 29th--she'll be an active participant in it.

Joe Scarborough: GOP Supports ‘Rapist’s Rights Over Parent’s Rights’

Joe Scarborough’s vitriolic language against conservatives appears to have entered a fever pitch on April 8, as the MSNBC host disgustingly asserted that the GOP cares more about a rapist’s rights than parent’s rights. The faux conservative host of Morning Joe made such a charge in his attack on Republicans planning to filibuster a federal gun control bill.

Scarborough, who along with the rest of MSNBC -- save S.E. Cupp -- has been on a gun-control tirade over the past several months, on their show Monday ranted that:

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough: I’m Not A RINO, I’m Mr. Cut

Joe Scarborough often riles up conservatives for his continual trashing of his fellow Republicans, but his most recent claim might be a new low for the MSNBC conservative.  Appearing on Morning Joe on Wednesday January 23, Scarborough insisted that he was not a Republican-in-name-only (RINO), but instead is more conservative than most in Congress.

Scarborough, who NewsBusters has repeatedly documented slamming conservatives, suddenly views himself as the epitome of conservative values.  Earlier this month, Scarborough made similar comments when he claimed to be a, “really conservative guy.”  Addressing the usual all-liberal MSNBC panel on today's Morning Joe, Scarborough argued that he is “Mr. Cut.”  [See video after jump.  MP3 audio here.]
