On the June 30 edition of America with Jorge Ramos on Fusion, Ramos and Ted Cruz engaged in a testy back and forth over the Texas senator’s views on gay marriage. Ramos asked Cruz: “But aren’t you discriminating? Are you putting gays and the LGBT community as second class citizen[s]?” Cruz replied by citing his belief that “following the Constitution isn’t discriminating against anyone.”

On June 29, in a discussion about the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision to affirm gay marriage as a constitutional right, Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough slammed President Obama for taking undeserved credit. The former Florida congressman noted: “[I]t’s sort of mind boggling that the president’s up there in 2015 and just as early as 2012 Joe Biden got out in front of the president. And Joe Biden's low point, politically, inside the White House was when he did that. Because he became immediately persona non grata.”

On June 26, following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant a constitutional right to marry for gay couples, NBC News broke in to cheer on the ruling. Pete Williams labeled it a historic ruling and fought back tears while reporting the 5-4 decision to Savannah Guthrie.

MSNBC.com continues to show that it is more of a liberal blog designed to peddle extreme talking points than an actual news website. Take for example their newest article with the headline that screams “Can Homophobia Kill You.”
Author Emma Margolin began her February 23 piece by huffing that “it comes as no surprise that anti-gay prejudice carries with it a wide range of damaging effects, but could one of them be death?” Margolis’ ridiculous and inflammatory statement came in response to two studies, one published in the journal Social Science and Medicine which claimed that “sexual minorities living in high-prejudice communities faced shorter life expectancies by approximately 12 years.”
