In a long screed on Tuesday's Tom Joyner Morning Show, CNN's Don Lemon accused "some Republicans" of lying and "holding the American people hostage" over Obamacare. In focusing on Republicans, he glossed over any falsehoods or failed promises made by Democrats and President Obama about Obamacare.

"According to FactCheck.org, since 2009 there have been a lot of willing, willful misinformation given to the American people about Obamacare by both Democrats and Republicans. But really mostly by Republicans," Lemon stated.

CNN's global economic analyst says many companies are just using Obamacare as an "excuse" to make employee health insurance cuts they already planned to make.

"[H]health care inflation is between seven and ten percent a year. And that's with or without Obamacare. So I do think that you're going to see a lot of companies using Obamacare and the ACA as an excuse to make changes in their plan that they might have been planning to make already," said Rana Foroohar on CNN Thursday afternoon.

As NewsBusters has been reporting, CNN's Don Lemon has been taking a lot of heat from black media members as a result of his opinions concerning race relations in America.

On Saturday, in a very lengthy segment on CNN Newsroom, Lemon once again addressed his detractors doing so in a fashion that folks on both sides of this debate should be extremely proud of (video follows with commentary and full transcript at end of post):

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly began his Monday evening edition of The O'Reilly Factor by pointing out what anchors on two of his cable network rivals said about his statement that people in “the grievance industry” don't discuss complicated racial problems.

O'Reilly then went on to contrast the actions of Don Lemon -- an anchor on CNN-- who the Fox News host called “honest” and courageous for daring to state that the FNC host was not some sort of racist for daring to state that a number of young black men have destructive habits that are encouraged by entertainment media.

Several Daily Kosmonauts were furious with CNN anchor Don Lemon for joining Bill O’Reilly in suggesting black kids could straighten up and hike up their saggy pants. “Vyan” even suggested that Don and Bill want all black kids to be “Steve Urkel” from the Nineties sitcom “Family Matters.”

He hit Lemon because “He jumped right in the middle of cage match between O'Reilly and anyone serious about Civil Rights. Now he's O'Reilly's Special Look-I'm-Really-Really-Not-A-Bigot Black Friend.  Don's even getting Love Tweets From Geraldo.  Yes, it's that bad.  The Dark Side is growing strong with this one.”

Famous black liberals continued their attacks on CNN's Don Lemon Tuesday.

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons weighed in on Twitter a few hours ago calling Lemon a "slave," "dangerous talking head," and a "disservice to the black community":

It's official -- Al Sharpton is beyond shame.

For most sentient adults this has been obvious for decades and we can't look at "Reverend Al" without seeing an inveterate race-baiting shakedown artist. (Audio after the jump)

As NewsBusters reported, liberal talk radio host Alan Colmes on Monday defended CNN's Don Lemon from attacks by folks such as MSNBC's Goldie Taylor for having the nerve to agree with Bill O'Reilly about problems in the black community.

This led conservative talk radio host Larry Elder to give Taylor a serious dressing down on Twitter Monday evening ending with, "No, @AlanColmes, we won't have true equality until @goldietaylor no longer calls @DonLemonCNN a 'turncoat mofo'":

As NewsBusters has been reporting, CNN’s Don Lemon has taken a lot of heat from the left for having the nerve to agree with Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly about problems in the black community.

On Fox News’s Happening Now Monday, liberal talk radio host Alan Colmes marvelously stated, “We’ll have true equality in this country when someone like Don Lemon or any other person of color can make a statement that doesn't conform with what the so-called majority believes without being called names, without being called an Uncle Tom” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

As NewsBusters predicted Saturday, CNN's Don Lemon has taken a lot of heat for agreeing with Fox News's Bill O'Reilly about what are some of the causes of strife in the black community.

One of Lemon's most outspoken detractor's was MSNBC contributor Goldie Taylor who continued her Twitter rant Saturday evening:

Fox News's Bill O'Reilly has taken a lot of heat from the liberal media for comments he made this week about problems in the African-American community.

On CNN Saturday, O'Reilly received support from an unlikely source when Don Lemon actually said of the Fox News host's comments, "He is right...But in my estimation, he doesn't go far enough" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

During his famous “I Have a Dream” speech on Aug. 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. declared that he wanted people to “live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Almost 50 years later, that dream is still a long way off, judging from the clash on Saturday in which CNN Newsroom's black host Don Lemon told conservative white guest Ben Ferguson that because he doesn't “live as a black man,” he can't understand what people of that race are experiencing. Doesn't that also mean that non-conservatives cannot fully understand and be fair to conservatives? Read on for more.
