On Tuesday's CNN Tonight, Don Lemon hounded conservative author Dr. Ben Carson over his October 2013 likening of ObamaCare to slavery and his recent blunt remarks about the V.A. scandal. Lemon acted as an apologist for the President and wondered, "How can you compare a health care program to the brutal oppression and abuse of black people in this country?"

The anchor later asked, "Are you saying the President and this administration don't have Americans' best interests at heart because they're trying to get people health coverage?" He also accused the neurosurgeon of needlessly injecting inflammatory language into politics: [MP3 audio available here; video below the jump]

After conservative guest Will Cain scolded society for "cheap hashtag activism" on Boko Haram, CNN anchor Don Lemon exploded and accused him of a "dog whistle" insult of First Lady Michelle Obama.

Cain first ranted that "We do cheap outrage on TV. We do cheap hash tag activism when it comes to the girls in – with Boko Haram." He emphasized that he was accusing "society" and not pointing fingers at any one particular person, but after he criticized the government for using Twitter as its policy, Lemon jumped on him for what he saw as a back-handed slap at Michelle Obama: "I think what he said was a dog whistle to say, putting up a - you're talking about the first lady."

A strange thing happened on CNN on Saturday May 3 prior to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. CNN host Don Lemon, appearing alongside Professor Marc Lamont Hill, professed his admiration for the Nation of Islam, a well-known hate group

Lemon proclaimed that Hill thinks he “look[s] like a member of the Nation of Islam. That’s okay. I like them. I live on 123rd Street. They’re always at 125th Street subway stop and I buy my Final Call.” [See video below.]

Earlier today, Matt Hadro at NewsBusters refuted a ridiculous assertion Tuesday evening by CNN's Don Lemon who, in reaction to guest Larry Klayman's criticism, insisted that he is not "a big supporter of Obama" or an "ultra leftist." Horse manure, Don.

Lemon and CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin also acted like immature children in Klayman's presence. They were clearly mortified that — ugh — Larry Klayman had to be the guy who brought suit against the National Security Administration arguing against the constitutionality of its metadata collection efforts. Apparently even worse for Lemon and Toobin, Klayman won a tentative legal victory when a judge ruled that NSA's "bulk collection of millions of Americans' telephone records is likely unconstitutional." Tal Kopan recounted Klayman's CNN appearance early this morning at the Politico:

CNN's Don Lemon insisted on Tuesday's OutFront that he is neither "a big supporter of Obama" nor an "ultra leftist" as guest Larry Klayman claimed. "Nothing you have said has been correct about me," Lemon retorted.

"The only person who decides my political leanings, whether I'm left or right, are me. The only people who know that for sure, the person who knows that for sure, is me," Lemon defended his integrity. However, Lemon has repeatedly bludgeoned conservatives and championed liberalism as a CNN anchor. Below are some of his worst moments:

For years, climate alarmists have dishonestly accused global warming skeptics of taking money from Big Oil to do their bidding.

On CNN’s 11th Hour Tuesday, when Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune made such a claim, Climate Depot’s Marc Morano marvelously fired back, “The Sierra Club took 26 million from natural gas and Michael has the audacity to try to imply that skeptics are fossil fuel funded” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Touré Neblett, the hyper-partisan 9/11 truther who is co-host of MSNBC’s afternoon show “The Cycle,” has said a number of idiotic things over the years.

Usually, he says such things in the context of an attack on a conservative or Republican--like last month when he confidently asserted that U.S. Senate seats can be gerrymandered. On Sunday, however, he decided to change things up a bit and make a stupid comment against a non-Republican by calling CNN anchor Don Lemon a “white leader.”

CNN anchor Don Lemon once again ripped into Republicans on Tuesday's Tom Joyner Morning Show. Lemon claims that he is non-partisan, but given his repeated tirades against the GOP and the Tea Party, one has to wonder about that.

The GOP is "dominated by aging white Americans and some very vocal bigots," Lemon insisted, and "no longer represents the changing demographics of this country." He said the party is "blinded by the Obama hate trees,""in a death spiral," and needs to lay off the "haterade."

CNN anchor Don Lemon shouted down a conservative guest after pushing him to admit he should be "embarrassed" over certain protesters at Sunday's Million Vet March.

CNN played a video of controversial protesters at Sunday's Million Vet March telling President Obama to "leave town" and "put the Koran down." Lemon tried to link this to the GOP as a whole.

Over the weekend, CNN anchors and guests blamed Republicans for the shutdown and smacked them for "holding the American people hostage" while opposing ObamaCare. That extended CNN's streak of pounding Tea Party Republicans for igniting the shutdown.

Below are some of the worst quotes from CNN anchors or guests on Republicans, the shutdown, and ObamaCare:

By Matt Hadro | October 4, 2013 | 4:26 PM EDT

On Friday afternoon, CNN's Don Lemon blamed the government shutdown over ObamaCare for "not really helping" the mentally ill woman killed by police on Capitol Hill on Thursday who needed "health care."

"[T]his woman is in obvious need of mental health, and that means health care. And so what they're doing in Washington is not really helping her, is it?" he asked psychotherapist Wendy Walsh who then plugged ObamaCare.

By Matt Hadro | October 1, 2013 | 3:28 PM EDT

CNN anchor Don Lemon was not hesitant in placing his blame for the government shutdown at the feet of Republicans. On Tuesday's Tom Joyner Morning Show, Lemon blamed Republicans but insisted he is not partisan.

"I'm so mad this morning," he ranted, and added it was partly due to "the false narrative that both sides caused this shutdown. That's not true. It was caused by Republicans, mainly Tea Party Republicans."
