Imagine that a prominent Republican activist proposed a campaign of malicious destruction against Hillary Clinton's latest book. Does anyone doubt that the press would be all over it as proof that conservatives and Republicans are disrespectful and mean-spirited?

Well, Erica Payne is a prominent, aggressively self-promoting progressive. The advanced nature of her activist bona fides might cause you to assume that she would think before stooping to openly suggesting destruction of property. Nope. The folks in office administration at the Politico had better put in for extra janitorial help. With all the horse manure their reporters are slinging during the partial government shutdown, it's gotta be getting knee-deep in those hoary halls.

One of the more egregious examples of insufferable obsequiousness today came late this morning via Edward-Isaac Dovere and Reid J. Epstein. It's not enough that MSNBC regularly touts the liberal line on every issue from climate change to raising the debt limit -- and has the poor ratings to prove it.

But now, a press release sent out on Friday declares that NBC -- the parent company of the cable channel -- will begin on Monday a week-long series entitled “Ready or Not, the New Health Care” and described as “a multi-screen experience” to “help Americans get the most out of the Affordable Care Act,” otherwise known as the wildly liberal program ObamaCare.
