In Harvard Speech, Liberal Mike Bloomberg Blasts Academia's Silencing of Conservatives

Speaking to graduates at Harvard University on Thursday morning, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg -- no conservative he -- warned against the consequences of intolerance on college campuses. Not only did he warn those in attendance of falling prey to intolerance, but he warned against the growing disease that plagues college campuses; that is, the repression of conservative ideology.

It was a bombshell speech of sorts, considering this spring's spate of commencement speakers bowing out of their engagements thanks to vocal protests by left-wing student activist groups. But only two network morning shows bothered to mention Bloomberg’s remarks. CBS This Morning aired a sound bite, as did CNN’s New Day, which also devoted several minutes to discussing the speech with a panel of guests.

CNN, ESPN Writer Condemns Christians for Judging Gays

Oh the irony. On CNN March 30, openly gay ESPN journalist LZ Granderson asked  “Will Christians condemn persecution of gays?” in an article that’s whole point seemed to be a condemnation of Christians’ views on homosexualty.

While Granderson asks why Christians don’t condemn gay persecution (they do), it’s funny how the gay community is never asked to defend the open persecution and slaughter of thousands of Christians in places like Egypt and Syria.

Pew Report: MSNBC Lost More Viewers, Revenue in 2013 Than Fox News, CNN Combined

According to a new report released on Wednesday by the Pew Research Center, the liberal MSNBC channel's prime-time audience fell 24 percent to 619,500 during the last calendar year, more than the Cable News Network -- which dropped 13 percent to a viewership of 543,000 – and the Fox News Channel, which lost 6 percent but still easily held onto first place with 1.75 million viewers.

As if that weren't bad enough, the “Lean Forward” network's revenue in 2013 lost 2 percent to total only $475 million. During the same period, CNN's income grew 2 percent to reach $1.11 billion, and the revenue for Fox News increased 5 percent to a tidy sum of $1.89 billion.

Controversial comedian Chelsea Handler stopped by CNN’s Piers Morgan Live last night and had some harsh words for the outgoing CNN host.

Appearing as his guest on Monday March 11, Handler slammed the provocative Morgan’s interviewing skills and claimed that “I have to come here and tolerate this nonsense and then I have to ...You can't even pay attention for 60 seconds. You're a terrible interviewer.” [See video below.]

CNN’s Erin Burnett Claims Only Aryan Nation Uses Word ‘Mongrel’ After Playing Clip of Obama Using Same Word

Musician Ted Nugent has come under fire for recent comments he made where he referred to President Obama as a “communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel.” Since then, CNN has been leading the charge condemning Nugent for his aggressive rhetoric made at the president.

Despite the highly offensive nature of Nugent’s rant, CNN’s Erin Burnett awkwardly played a clip of President Obama using the same word as Nugent in a 2012 appearance on “The View” before the CNN host claimed that “the only use of the word mongrel that I could find in common talk, because you're talking about street talk, was actually the Aryan Nation membership form.” [See video below.]

'Ragin' Cajun' James Carville Joins Fox News Channel as Liberal Commentator

The people at Fox News are apparently serious about being “fair and balanced” as proved on Thursday, when the network hired veteran Democratic activist James Carville to serve as a contributor of political commentary on the channel.

The “Ragin' Cajun,” who led Bill Clinton's successful presidential campaign in 1992 and spent most of the past decade as a political commentator for the Cable News Network, joins such outspoken liberals as Juan Williams, Kirsten Powers and Bob Beckel on the channel's roster.

Fox News Ends Year With Higher Ratings Than MSNBC, CNN and HLN Combined

As 2013 draws to a close, Fox News Channel continues to dominate cable television news programming, according to Nielsen data through Dec. 8.

In an article for Variety, Rick Kissell stated that Fox has averaged 1.774 million viewers in prime time -- down 13 percent from last year's presidential election-driven numbers -- while the Cable News Channel fell 15 percent, and MSNBC lost 29 percent.

Piers Morgan Admits American Press ‘Quite Soft’ on President Obama

Piers Morgan, the liberal host of an eponymous hour-long weeknight program on the Cable News Network, said during an interview posted on Newsmax.com on Tuesday that the American news media have been “probably quite soft and could have gone harder” when covering President Barack Obama.

But while promoting his new book -- “Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God and George Clooney” -- the former British tabloid editor still claimed that “the financial crisis was inherited by the president” from his Republican predecessor, former White House occupant George W. Bush.

Media Overreact, Claim Pope ‘OK with Gays’

Liberals in the media are doing what they do best when it comes to Pope Francis today: misrepresenting him to their hearts’ content.

When asked in a press conference about celibate priests who suffer same-sex attraction, the Pope replied: “If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge him?” – a view which is exactly in line with Church teaching. But of course, the media had a field day painting this orthodox statement as a sweeping approval of the gay lifestyle.

At CNN, Democratic Scandals Are ‘So-Called’

CNN Profiles Soros Positively

On Friday, CNN profiled liberal billionaire George Soros for their “Fast Facts,” calling him “one of the most successful investment financiers in the world” and an “active philanthropist.” The segment failed fail to note his massive contributions to lefty politics, or his calls for an “open society” that sound Orwellian at best.

The CNN profile highlighted key moments from Soros’s life, including his birth, immigration to the U.S. from Hungary, and major financial milestones in his road to becoming one of the wealthiest men on the planet. The only political donation that CNN mentioned at all was $1 million that Soros gave to promote marijuana legalization in California and Arizona.

That didn’t even hint at his vast political influence – even just promoting marijuana legalization. As of 2011, Soros gave more than $31 million to the Drug Policy Alliance.
