A liberal group funded by billionaire George Soros is accusing conservatives and the “religious right” of fear-mongering and slandering Islam. According to the Center for American Progress, the right has been coordinating to push “Sharia hysteria” which “mischaracterizes Sharia as a totalitarian ideology of hate and triumphalism committed to replacing the U.S. Constitution with a radical Islamic caliphate that will subordinate and punish all non-Muslim adherents.”

Ed Schultz one-upped colleague Chuck Todd on his MSNBC program on Wednesday. Hours after Todd likened President Obama's policy announcement on Cuba to the fall of the Berlin Wall, Schultz compared the Democrat's address to a famous 1987 speech given at the Wall by his predecessor, Ronald Reagan: "Isn't this Barack Obama's 'tear down this wall, Mr. Castro' – that kind of a moment? I mean, if change can take place with the Soviet Union, why can't it take place with the Cuban people here?"

You say you want a revolution? Former NAACP president Benjamin Jealous just analogized the fear for their lives that black youth feel about police to the fear the colonists felt toward the "Redcoats"—British soldiers during the time of the American Revolution.
Jealous, now with the leftist Center for American Progress, made his inflammatory remark to Ronan Farrow on the latter's MSNBC show today. Rather than challenging Jealous, Farrow thanked him for his "impassioned take." Has it come to this? A significant civil rights leader analogizes race relations in the United States to the revolution that led to the creation of our country, and all an MSNBC host can do is thank him for it?

Since Wednesday was the 50th anniversary of president Lyndon Johnson’s announcement of an “unconditional war on poverty” during his State of the Union address in 1964, MSNBC used the occasion to promote a poll conducted by a far-left think tank to assert that a government program providing “affordable access to quality child care could help lift millions of Americans out of poverty.”
According to an article by Morgan Whitaker on MSNBC.com, “a vast majority of people polled in a new survey” conducted by the Center for American Progress “includes results from focus groups and a major survey of more than 2,000 American adults.”

President Barack Obama hired a new counselor for 2014, a man who used to lead a liberal Soros-funded group.
John Podesta, founder and president of the far-left Center for American Progress (CAP), was tapped by the administration and will focus on the health care law and climate change issues, according to a Dec. 9, New York Times article. That same article failed to mention any connection between CAP and Soros.
This isn’t the first time Podesta has worked with the president. He co-chaired the transition team when Obama first came into office. He was also White House chief of staff under Clinton. Neera Tanden, who has worked for both Obama and Hillary Clinton, currently runs CAP.
