Charles Lane, an editorial writer for The Washington Post, believes that Republicans are wasting their time discussing border violence and crime caused by illegal aliens because “It’s not a real issue.” Lane appeared on a special report with Fox News’s Bret Baier, and took on the topic with a panel that included conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham, and weekly Baier panelist Charles Krauthammer.

Even though the 2016 presidential election is more than 16 months away, two cable news outlets announced on Wednesday the criteria for the first two GOP debates.

The initial event, which will be hosted by the Fox News Channel and take place on Thursday, August 6, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, will be moderated by network anchors Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace.

The drama surrounding the trial of Kermit Gosnell took another surprising turn on Monday, when Jack McMahon, the lawyer for the Philadelphia “abortion doctor,” charged that the Fox News Channel's hour-long documentary entitled “See No Evil -- The Kermit Gosnell Case” was an example of “irresponsible” journalism.

The attorney unleashed his verbal barrage on Monday morning, when he called the decision to air the program on Friday and Sunday evenings “shameful” and “outrageous” since the jury is still deliberating on the fate of the 72-year-old physician.
