During Wednesday's edition of ABC's The View program, co-host Whoopi Goldberg happily stated that GOP front-runner Donald Trump is “taking heat from all sides for his plan to ban Muslims from entering America.”
“Because we have freedom of speech in this country, he’s allowed to say what he wants to say,” the comedian said regarding the Republican presidential candidate. “However, there are consequences.”

After every mass shooting, well-meaning but empty-headed celebrities come out in droves to hold up signs with hashtags and lend their voices to anti-gun political ads. This week was no different in the wake of last week’s two tragic shootings. A new ad released today by Michael Bloomberg’s group, Everytown USA For Gun Safety, added a few new faces to the usual gamut of gun-grabbers.

The View on Wednesday took issue at a recent video from Ted Cruz, in which he talks about encouraging staff using Star Wars voices. After the clip played, The View began a barrage of comedic jabs at Cruz’s expense. Michelle Collins began with “Did you see what a co-worker said?” Joy Behar interrupted Collins’ thought, saying “The bird flu is more popular than Ted Cruz.” Collins laughed at the bird flu joke, and continue her previous setup. “One co-worker said why do people take such an instant dislike of Ted Cruz? It just saves time.”

Washington Post political reporter Ben Terris provided the latest puff piece to the Democrats on the top of Friday’s Style section – which inspired more puffery on CBS Friday morning. “COMEDIANS ARE FEELING THE BERN,” blasted the headline in all caps. “Why has the most humorless presidential candidate garnered mad support from the normally apathetic stand-up scene?”
Guess what? The “cool kids” are loving the scrappy socialist.

Tuesday at Salon.com, Sarah Burris claimed that Stephen Colbert gave a "bombshell endorsement" to Black Lives Matter, when he talked about the “excessive force by police departments across the country.” In reality, Colbert gave a moderate response to the recent controversy. Salon evoked imagery and a message that Colbert never addressed in the segment. Colbert offered only comedic pandering on the topic, rather than what Salon badly abbreviated to an “endorsement.”

Another Hollywood liberal infatuated by Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Actress Jill Hennessy, best-known for starring roles in NBC’s Law & Order and Crossing Jordan, hailed Hillary Clinton: “I just think she has accomplished more than most people accomplish in about five lifetimes.” But she was quick to also trumpet Bernie Sanders: “I find him really inspiring. I think he’s tremendous.”

Don’t tell actress Olivia Wilde that Hillary comes across as an ice queen. That means you’re a sexist pig. In an interview with Marlow Stern at the Daily Beast the former House cast member unleashed.
“It’s pure sexism,” she says. “This [BS] about her not seeming ‘warm’ enough is pure misogyny. It’s ridiculous. I think she’s one of the loveliest, most personable politicians I’ve ever met — much warmer than other politicians, in fact. That’s pure sexism.”

Like clockwork, before anyone had time digest the horror of the latest mass shooting, the left started finger-pointing and demanding more gun control – whether it would have prevented the crime or not. From President Obama on down, they immediately began railing against the NRA and gun owners.
Not surprisingly, entertainment industry liberals were among the most vocal. That also made them among the most hypocritical. TV, movies and music videos thrive portraying – and often glamorizing – violence, and gun violence in particular. And while actors were demanding gun control, the top 10 movies in theaters this past weekend were awash in violence – 334 separate violent acts, 121 of them involving guns. The on-screen body count was 39 dead out of 142 victims.
