Margaret Cho: ‘Tax the Church’

Ultra-lefty actress and comedian Margaret Cho is feeling the Bern. And apparently her choice to support self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders caused her great anguish because she is also an adoring Hilary Clinton fan.

Recently on HuffPost Live, Cho was asked if she had any intentions to run for office someday.

“I’m not sure if I have the, uh, moral fiber and fortitude and integrity that it would take to be a real politician and you know by real politician I mean somebody like, um, Senator Sanders or of course the wonderful Hilary Clinton,” Cho responded.

In a classic "diversity" turn at National Public Radio, Thursday’s Morning Edition promoted the comedic career of Indian-American Hari Kondabolu, who writes for the FX comedy show “Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell.” He also has a forthcoming album of stand-up comedy. Anchor David Greene declared "The brainy, young comedian cuts through any polite talk about race or gender. And his incisive anecdotes are making a whole lot of people laugh."

NPR reporter Elizabeth Blair unsurprisingly plucked out a routine from a recent show at the indie-music venue the Black Cat in Washington, DC, where Kondabolu mocked the Bible as a ridiculous guide for someone’s beliefs on homosexuality. He compared the snake in the Garden of Eden to a “Jungle Book” scenario:

Andy Cohen wants it loose and carefree on his little Bravo talk show "Watch What Happens Live." What happens is people say things to draw attention to themselves. FoxNews.com reports lesbian leftist comedian Margaret Cho raised eyebrows this week when she declared about her pregnancy hopes, “I don’t necessarily want to have a retard.”

While discussing her new comedy tour called “Mother,” pitched at her own mother and her desires to be a mother herself, she mentioned her fears over getting pregnant at the age of 43. "My period comes like twice a month. My eggs are jumping ship,” she said. “Seriously, they’re like, ‘the last one out’s a retard.”

Appearing as a panel member on Sunday's Melissa Harris-Perry show, comedienne Margaret Cho wondered why some women are Republicans as she asserted that the GOP is "a party that's so against our rights, our reproductive rights, so many rights in so many ways."

Cho also complained that Sarah Palin tries to "beat feminism down," claiming that "Sarah Palin wouldn't exist without feminism."

After host Melissa Harris-Perry recounted a GOP drive to appeal to women, Cho wondered:

Perhaps CNN stands for the Closeted News Network. No, that doesn't work. There's nothing closeted about CNN's clear advocacy for homosexual causes.

A Culture and Media Institute analysis of 239 programs aired on CNN from the period June 15 to July 15 revealed that CNN quoted or interviewed nearly four times the number of gay-agenda supporters as critics.

ABC: Catholic Bishop Excommunicated 'Saintly' Nun Who Supported Abortion

ABC's Dan Harris gave a slanted report on Wednesday's GMA about the Catholic bishop of Phoenix, Arizona stripping a hospital there of its Catholic status: "This is a story that involves a nun, described as saintly; a Catholic bishop; a world-class hospital; and a controversy now being discussed across the country." Harris unnecessarily introduced the priestly sex scandal into his report, and played a sound bite from a doctor who thought religion should be kept out of medical decisions involving crisis pregnancies.

The correspondent began his report with his "saintly" superlative for Sister Margaret McBride, and continued by giving a brief summary of the controversy she is involved in, throwing in his line about the sex scandal in the process:

Liberal "comedian" Kathy Griffin thinks there is no line of rudeness she can't cross, including calling the daughters of Sen. Scott Brown "prostitutes." On Monday's Joy Behar Show on CNN Headline News, Griffin proclaimed "But yes, whenever a statement is issued against me, I`m in heaven. I feel my next special is half written for me. And then I get to read statements allowed in my live shows which you can go to KathyGriffin.net and see the many, many cities I`ve picked up for my current tour."

Not even Rep. Barney Frank could make her feel bad about it:

BEHAR: So you're really feeling bad about it all? Okay, I mean, when Barney Frank turns on you, one of your gays, you have to start to wonder.

'Comedienne' Says Satan-Chuck Norris Is Better Ticket Than McCain-Palin

From the Sandra Bernhard file of trashing Republicans in the hope of re-energizing a sad career, there's Margaret Cho. In addition to the usual liberal trope that McCain wasn't a good "soldier" since he was captured, she's now suggesting that voting for Satan is better than voting McCain-Palin:

I am not voting for McCain. I hope that is obvious. I am sick of everyone saying – "He was a good soldier. He was a good soldier."

Um yeah. He was captured.

So he was not that good.

And now with Sarah Palin at his side, they have actually become the worst ticket imaginable. The only way it could be worse would be if Satan were running with Chuck Norris as his VP. Actually, Lucifer-Norris sounds better than McCain-Palin.
