CNN's Lemon and Toobin Prefer Bullying Klayman Over Discussing Judge's Opinion on NSA Overreach; AP Also Piles On

Earlier today, Matt Hadro at NewsBusters refuted a ridiculous assertion Tuesday evening by CNN's Don Lemon who, in reaction to guest Larry Klayman's criticism, insisted that he is not "a big supporter of Obama" or an "ultra leftist." Horse manure, Don.

Lemon and CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin also acted like immature children in Klayman's presence. They were clearly mortified that — ugh — Larry Klayman had to be the guy who brought suit against the National Security Administration arguing against the constitutionality of its metadata collection efforts. Apparently even worse for Lemon and Toobin, Klayman won a tentative legal victory when a judge ruled that NSA's "bulk collection of millions of Americans' telephone records is likely unconstitutional." Tal Kopan recounted Klayman's CNN appearance early this morning at the Politico:

MSNBC's Wolffe: Ted Cruz 'Inflaming' 'Fringe' Who Are 'Racist'

On Tuesday's PoliticsNation, MSNBC.com Executive Editor Richard Wolffe accused Texas Senator Ted Cruz of "encouraging, inflaming and yes, flirting" with "fringe elements" who are "very ugly" and "racist" as he responded to a clip of the Texas Republican suggesting that the House could have grounds to impeach President Obama.

Host Al Sharpton set up the segment by recounting birther conspiracy theories against the President before moving to a completely unrelated clip of Senator Cruz, and then brought aboard wolffe for comment. Wolffe griped:

In response to a judge's ruling that he pay Rachel Maddow's legal fees in his $50 million lawsuit against her, Christian rock n'roll preacher Bradlee Dean is alleging bias on the part of the judge.

Dean filed suit against Maddow in July 2011 claiming she defamed him as "bloodthirsty" and homicidal toward gays based on remarks he made during a broadcast of his Sons of Liberty radio show in May 2010 . (video clips after page break)
