Last Friday, a Democrat-led investigation failed to find evidence linking Chris Christie to the 2013 traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge. After initially ignoring the report, ABC allowed 16 seconds on Friday's World News. Anchor David Muir briefly deemed this "welcome news" for the New Jersey Governor and 2016 contender.

Back in January, when the Bridgegate scandal surfaced, CNN offered wall-to-wall coverage totaling just over eight hours and 35 minutes of coverage on its first full day and featured the Republican Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, at the center of it all.

So, when news surfaced on early Friday morning that a Democrat-led investigation cleared Christie of any wrongdoing, CNN chose to adopt a different approach and all but ignore this news. Through 5:30 p.m. Eastern, the cable network had spent a scant 26 seconds on the report’s exoneration of Christie.

In January, the networks deluged Americans with coverage on Chris Christie's Bridgegate scandal, offering a staggering 88 minutes in less than 48 hours. Late on Thursday night, a Democrat-led investigation failed to find evidence conclusively linking the New Jersey governor to the 2013 traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge. On Friday, CBS and NBC allowed a scant 32 seconds to this important development.

The Republican “wave” in the November 4, 2014, midterm elections had many reasons, but at least one was dissatisfaction with the economy. While, the three broadcast networks acknowledged the elections were bad for Democrats, they mostly ignored the economy and its impact on the election.

Instead, now that Republicans hold a majority of seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate, the networks have chosen to preach bipartisanship.

Following the big Republican wave in Tuesday's midterm election, on Wednesday, Today co-host Matt Lauer immediately demanded that the new GOP-controlled Congress capitulate to President Obama: "Republicans have control of the House and Senate for the first time in eight years....In January, voters are gonna say,'What are you going to do with the power?' Opposing the President's policy is not a policy. Specifically, what can Republicans do with this power?"

Jon Stewart, the smug, mugging hero of smarty-pants young liberals who watch The Daily Show, was interviewed by Chris Smith for the cover of New York magazine. Stewart got plenty of room to vulgarly bash various Republicans by name, praise Hillary Clinton, defend Obama and Obama-care, and again reiterate his call for a year of mandatory national service.

New Jersey Governor Christie rebuked a heckler during his visit to the area affected by Superstorm Sandy on Wednesday.

His rebuke is still a major headline item at ... the Weather Channel. The headline ("Gov Loses It During Speech") also makes a claim not supported by the circumstances, or Christie's history of dealng with such critics:

The broadcast network blackout of Hillary Clinton telling an audience that corporations and businesses don’t create jobs ended on Thursday night as the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley brought it up during a segment that continued the liberal media’s hammering of New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie for confronting a heckler at an event on Wednesday. While CBS deserves some credit for finally mentioning this, they just as easily lost it when anchor Scott Pelley and CBS News political director John Dickerson rationalized away what she said as an attempt to please the Democratic base.

On Thursday's NBC Today, while scolding New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for his handling of a heckler, correspondent Kelly O'Donnell declared: "Christie's week has been a lot like a series of battle rounds, from tangling with nurse Kaci Hickox over [Ebola] quarantine conditions....to the verbal towel snap Christie delivered in a live Today interview when Matt referred to the nurse's lawyer as talented....to federal health officials who loudly criticized his rules but recommended their own."

O'Donnell then touted a profane attack from the media's favorite liberal host: "Add the latest pop culture judgment from Jon Stewart." A soundbite played of Stewart ranting: "Why does Christie have to be such a d**k about everything?"

The networks jumped on footage of Chris Christie yelling at a protester...but did you notice where they acquired it? ABC and NBC each tried to obscure the logo of American Bridge PAC, a Hillary-favoring Democrat outfit.

The protester was also a leftist, even though he was presented as an “independent.” Jim Keady appeared Wednesday night on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes.” No one pointed out his truly wacky blogs on the Huffington Post.

Good Morning America's Jon Karl on Thursday couldn't help but contrast Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton as "lashing out" vs. the "softer side." Featuring the two possible 2016 contenders, George Stephanopoulos chided, "We're going to turn to politics now and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie lashing out on the stump." An ABC graphic underlined, "Caught on Camera: Chris Christie Lashes Out."

After ABC and NBC played up Governor Chris Christie’s (R-N.J.) confrontation with a heckler at an event marking the two-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy during their Wednesday night broadcasts, all three network morning shows (ABC's Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, and NBC's Today) predictably continued to pile on against the Republican on Thursday morning. On CBS This Morning, reporter Jan Crawford began her report by noting how on Wednesday, Christie “went at it with a constituent… When a former New Jersey councilman [Jim Keady] showed up Wednesday to criticize the pace of the restoration after the storm, Chris Christie let him have it.”
