Back in January, when the Bridgegate scandal surfaced, CNN offered wall-to-wall coverage totaling just over eight hours and 35 minutes of coverage on its first full day and featured the Republican Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, at the center of it all. 

So, when news surfaced on early Friday morning that a Democrat-led investigation cleared Christie of any wrongdoing, CNN chose to adopt a different approach and all but ignore this news. Through 5:30 p.m. Eastern, the cable network had spent a scant 26 seconds on the report’s exoneration of Christie.

The Republican “wave” in the November 4, 2014, midterm elections had many reasons, but at least one was dissatisfaction with the economy. While, the three broadcast networks acknowledged the elections were bad for Democrats, they mostly ignored the economy and its impact on the election.

Instead, now that Republicans hold a majority of seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate, the networks have chosen to preach bipartisanship.

Jon Stewart, the smug, mugging hero of smarty-pants young liberals who watch The Daily Show, was interviewed by Chris Smith for the cover of New York magazine. Stewart got plenty of room to vulgarly bash various Republicans by name, praise Hillary Clinton, defend Obama and Obama-care, and again reiterate his call for a year of mandatory national service.

The broadcast network blackout of Hillary Clinton telling an audience that corporations and businesses don’t create jobs ended on Thursday night as the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley brought it up during a segment that continued the liberal media’s hammering of New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie for confronting a heckler at an event on Wednesday. While CBS deserves some credit for finally mentioning this, they just as easily lost it when anchor Scott Pelley and CBS News political director John Dickerson rationalized away what she said as an attempt to please the Democratic base.

The networks jumped on footage of Chris Christie yelling at a protester...but did you notice where they acquired it? ABC and NBC each tried to obscure the logo of American Bridge PAC, a Hillary-favoring Democrat outfit.

The protester was also a leftist, even though he was presented as an “independent.” Jim Keady appeared Wednesday night on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes.” No one pointed out his truly wacky blogs on the Huffington Post.
