As NewsBusters previously reported, CNN's Anderson Cooper commented about Alec Baldwin's Thursday Twitter meltdown - which included a homophobic attack on a British reporter - asking why the actor gets a pass when he uses gay slurs.

Andrew Sullivan joined this discussion Friday writing, "He’s a pro-gay liberal, so he may get a pass for this. He shouldn’t":

As NewsBusters previously reported, Alec Baldwin had another major meltdown on Twitter Thursday which included a homophobic attack on a British reporter.

CNN's Anderson Cooper struck back Friday posting on Twitter, "Why does #AlecBaldwin get a pass when he uses gay slurs? If a conservative talked of beating up a 'queen' they would be vilified":

Alec Baldwin had another Twitter meltdown Thursday.

This time the object of his disaffection was a British reporter who wrote a piece claiming Baldwin's wife Hilaria was tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral. That was too much for the unstable actor who took to his own Twitter account unleashing a vulgar tirade before suspending it.

Alec Baldwin wins the stuffed Teddy bear prize for the most imaginative defense of the IRS scandal engulfing the Obama administration.

Or, to use Baldwin's Twitter turn of phrase, "scandal."

In case you haven't noticed, the media have all practically endorsed Christine Quinn to become New York's first female and openly gay mayor.

Rather shockingly, don't count Alec Baldwin amongst them, for in a scathing piece published at the Huffington Post Monday, the actor proclaimed, "Christine Quinn is not qualified to be mayor of New York:

Appearing on left-wing actor Alec Baldwin's weekly WNYC talk radio show, Here's The Thing, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams laughably asserted that his reporting was void of any political bias: "My work has been so cleansed, as I see it, and as I've tried, of political opinions over 27 years....I can try to call it down the middle, and try to be fair about it, and do a 'just the facts'..." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]

Throughout the interview, Baldwin gushed over how supposedly objective Williams was: "Although loud personalities with extreme views gobble up more air time, television news is an industry that still rewards unbiased, thoughtful, and direct reporting....many people in your business, you can feel little belches and little fissures of their opinions coming through, or a sense of that, and with you, there's none....I think that's what makes your program so successful. That's why I watch you."

When you are a prominent Hollywood actor – plus an outspoken liberal – you can get away with “murder.” Two days ago, actor Alec Baldwin, who is famous for both his outspoken liberal views and his ugly run-ins with reporters (and flight attendants), found himself in another scuffle with two New York Post reporters.

Baldwin supposedly grabbed the Post’s Tara Palmeri by the arm and threatened, "I want to choke you to death" when she questioned him on a lawsuit filed against his wife. Baldwin then verbally attacked the Post's photographer, G. N. Miller, a black retired NYPD detective, and with names such as "coon," "crackhead," and "drug dealer."

Liberals were all atwitter a few months ago over the news that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was going to be doing a cameo role on the series finale of 30 Rock.

I wonder how they felt when she was called a "jackass” right before her appearance (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

A fun nugget buried inside Tuesday’s USA Today “Life” section profile of Alec Baldwin: The left-wing actor attributed his former girth to eating a lot of ice cream while watching MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show.

White jokes continue to be all the rage with the liberal media.

On CBS’s Late Show Wednesday, Alec Baldwin mocked Americans wanting to secede from the nation due to the results of last week’s election by saying they might name their new country “the United States of Caucasia” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

It appears Alec Baldwin better keep his day job.

According to a new NY1-Marist College poll, almost two thirds of New York City voters don't want the actor to run for mayor:

With absolutely no surprise, America's Hollywood elites are stepping up to the plate to endorse Barack Obama.

Following Madonna's vulgarity-laden endorsement Monday, and Barbara Streisand's love letter last week, Alec Baldwin took to the Huffington Post to show his support for our 44th president.
