Gore’s filed a lawsuit in Delaware against Al Jazeera America claiming its owners (the Qatari royal family) are still withholding $65 million from him and Current TV co-founder Joel Hyatt.
"Al Jazeera America wants to give itself a discount on the purchase price that was agreed to nearly two years ago," said Gore's lawyer, David Boies (also his lawyer in the shameless 2000 recount extension/delusion.)

Al Gore Denounced in Australian Press as Money Hungry 'Ferengi' for Suspicious Mining Magnate Alliance

In addition, this well known person would be strongly opposed to a carbon tax. Obviously such a person would be considered an enemy by environmentalists. Well, think of the shock if none other than Al Gore held a friendly joint press conference with such a person. Many would suspect that money was the motive for such a strange alliance.
Guess what? Something like this happened last week in Australia where Al Gore appeared with Australian mining magnate Clive Palmer at a press conference. Although Palmer, a founder of the Palmer United Party in Australia, opposed the soon to be repealed carbon tax, Al Gore suddenly and mysteriously found common ground with him. Naturally the Australian press found Gore's new-found friendship quite suspicious. First we have a report from Annabel Crabb of The Age in Australia at the shock of the people there at seeing Gore and Palmer together on stage:

Come on. Admit it. Just reading the name of Al Gore put a smile on your face. Why is that? Because after years of Gore's over the top rantings about global warming, he has turned himself into a laughingstock. That added to his blatantly greedy hypocrisy of selling carbon credit "indulgences" to fellow liberals to assuage their guilt as well as leaving a huge carbon footprint of his own by extravagant electrical usage at his mansion as well as burning big quantities of carbon by travelling around the world on a private jet to warn of global warming is eminently mockable. So what happens when someone asks Gore about this mockery? Well, Politico reporter Darren Samuelsohn did just that in a very polite way and Gore's humorless response generates yet more inadvertent humor due to his global warming absurdities. It starts out with blaming the big mudslide in Washington state on global warming and goes downhill from there as Gore responds to this Politico observation:

Weasel Zippers has the latest superiority dance from Al Gore, in a speech at the University of Hawaii.
"Ultimately, we are going to win this thing," he said, one of many statements met with hearty applause from the Hawaiians, reported the Civil Beat. He displayed “a Bell Curve showing the number of hotter days over the past 80 years grow alarmingly disproportionate to the number of cooler days and days with average temperatures.”

Most of the media may be convinced by Al Gore-style climate alarmism, but CNBC’s Joe Kernen isn’t afraid to speak his mind.
Joe Kernen, co-host of “Squawk Box” called the inclusion of Former Vice President Al Gore on CNBC’s list of “Top Leaders, Icons and Rebels” both “stupid” and “ludicrous.” His Feb. 11, comments came after fellow co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin suggested that CNBC ought to include Gore on their “First 25” list for his contribution to global warming awareness.

During an interview on Sunday's edition of the new Fox News Channel program Media Buzz, Barbara Walters told host Howard Kurtz that The View -- the weekday program she created for ABC on August 11, 1997, and is retiring from next summer -- is neither political nor news-oriented since it was intended to be “entertaining and upbeat.”
“The View is not Meet the Press,” Walters said even though she admitted that “a lot of people do get their news” from the show, which features a discussion among five female co-hosts on a wide variety of topics. However, she noted that there was no panel on what Kurtz called “the national melodrama over the federal shutdown” because, the 84-year-old newscaster said, “I didn't think that was entertaining or upbeat.”

During the 2008 banking crisis, then-Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel famously said, “Never allow a crisis to go to waste.” The broadcast networks certainly followed his advice when reporting on Hurricane Sandy since the storm became a hurricane one year ago, hitting the New Jersey coast on Oct. 29.
Network reporters and experts have repeatedly claimed that the storm was either caused or worsened because of climate change. In fact, 100 percent of the 32 news stories and briefs in the past year that mentioned climate change and Hurricane Sandy claimed global warming directly impacted the storm – even though “no single weather event can be linked directly to a long-term driver, such as global warming,” according to climate change activists.
