Obama Was 'Miraculous' in Pitch to Win Election, Gushes Awed Ed Schultz

Four more years? Heck, make it four more millennia as far as Ed Schultz is concerned.

The liberal radio host and MSNBC action hero could barely contain his reverence for President Obama yesterday, using language even thoroughly smitten cable colleague Chris Matthews might avoid. (audio clip after page break)

Here's what Schultz said on his radio show while talking with John Nichols of The Nation magazine (audio) --

That's what this election has been about -- income inequality, paying the fair share, the president was miraculous in his presentation to keep the country focused on, these are the issues. In the meantime he had 32 months' private-sector job growth which kept him focused. He didn't have to go answer his economic plan. And he could also point to the Republicans, that you're obstructing, and we're still doing it. So, all these things are good.

"Miracle," as defined by my copy of the Random House Dictionary of the English Language, second edition -- 1) an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known  human or natural causes and is ascribed to a supernatural cause. 2) such an effect or event manifesting on considered as a work of God. 3) a wonder; marvel. 4) a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality.

To which I would add 5), as understood by Ed Schultz -- divisive, deceitful rhetoric used by Obama (campaign ad maligning Romney as "Not One of Us," for example) to delude credulous half of electorate.
