Fox News's Megyn Kelly on Monday slammed the softball questions offered to Attorney General Eric Holder during an interview on ABC, Sunday. The host hammered questioner Pierre Thomas for not bringing up the ever-growing IRS scandal, the administration's losses in the Spureme Court and other contentious issues. Instead, the journalist mostly failed to press Holder, allowing him to lash out at conservative racism.

On Fox, Kelly highlighted missed topics: "Where the investigation stands into the IRS’ targeting of conservatives...Why the attorney general hasn’t appointed a special counsel. Why former IRS official Lois Lerner has not been charged." [See video below. MP3 audio here.] Kelly continued, "The attorney general is not asked to make the administration’s case for expanding executive authority."

When TV’s Sunday-morning political chat shows book conservative guests, maybe they’re just trying to be evenhanded, but The Nation media blogger Leslie Savan opined in a Tuesday post that often the programs do it so that the right will be less likely to badger them about their liberal bias. As Savan put it, “Sometimes seeking balance is really a plea to call off the dogs.”

What riled up Savan in the first place was one such booking, of Dinesh D’Souza on last Sunday’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” but she also griped about the Sunday shows generally letting Tea Party guests off easy (“It’s as if mainstream media are as afraid of the far right as John Boehner is”) as well as about “the corporate media…offer[ing] their stage to far-right media figures” including Laura Ingraham.

Liberals really ought to make up their minds about this.

As a general rule, it often takes little more than a stiff breeze to render left wingers confused and incoherent. The Supreme Court's ruling in the Hobby Lobby case has hit the left with the force of an early hurricane, and left wingers have responded accordingly. Textbook example of this was evident yesterday during an exchange between Democrat strategist Donna Brazile and GOP political consultant Matthew Dowd on the Sunday talk show "This Week." ABC This Week co-host Martha Raddatz did her best to spin away the crisis at the border by pushing White House talking points during an interview with Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) on Sunday.

Raddatz insisted that the crisis was a result of a 2008 law signed by President Bush, with no consideration given to President Obama’s role in the surge of illegal border crossings.

Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor of the far-left The Nation magazine, did her best to attack Bill Kristol, editor of the conservative Weekly Standard magazine, over his continued support for the Iraq war and the need to take action to stop the increasing violence in the region.

Appearing on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, June 29, vanden Heuvel tried to verbally assault Kristol by asserting “We don't need armchair warriors. And if you feel so strongly, you should, with all due respect, enlist in the Iraqi army.”

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, co-host of Good Morning America and moderator of This Week, sat down with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor for an interview that aired on Sunday, June 22.

The interview, which was more of a glowing profile of Ms. Sotomayor, touched on a variety of subjects ranging from her recent encounter with Hillary Clinton to whether or not the justice still experienced sexism on the bench. Stephanopoulos wondered “You also write in your book about some of the sexism you faced even as a prosecutor. Any as a Supreme Court justice or does it go away?” [See video below.]

Donna Brazile, who served as campaign manager for Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign and is the current Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, had some surprisingly kind words to say about the Tea Party during a TV appearance on Sunday, June 15.

Brazile appeared on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos during its “Powerhouse Roundtable” segment to discuss Congressman Eric Cantor’s (R-VA) loss in the Republican Primary. The Democratic strategist remarked that “The Tea Party is the energy inside the Republican Party. You ignore them, you ignore the base.” [See video below.]

UPDATE: On the June 10 Evening News, CBS’s Vicente Arenas reported: “The influx of children is being blamed on poverty and drug-related violence in Central America. It’s also thought some parents wrongly believe policy changes made by President Obama prohibit young, illegal immigrants from being deported.”

Late last week, detention centers along the U.S.-Mexican border were crushed with a new surge of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children, yet two of the Big Three networks have barely touched this new headache for the Obama administration.

And not a single reporter or anchor on ABC, CBS or NBC have cited Barack Obama’s extension of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) as cause for a humanitarian crisis that has led to children as young as 9-years-old illegally crossing the border without their parents. With the exchange of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl for the release of five Taliban detainees held at Guantanamo Bay complete, ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos used the opportunity to promote the possibility of Gitmo closing its doors.

On Sunday, June 8, Byron Pitts, ABC’s Chief National Correspondent peddled the line that “700 men have come through Gitmo since the beginning of the war on terror when these pictures of shackled and hooded men shock the world. Some say past allegations of waterboarding and hunger strikes have turned this place into a terrorist recruiters dream.” [See video below.]

Susan Rice, former U.N. Ambassador and current National Security Advisor for President Obama, sat down with CNN’s Candy Crowley and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, June 1 to discuss a variety of foreign policy topics, yet Stephanopoulos refused to ask his guest about the latest surrounding the Benghazi investigation.

Rice appeared on both This Week and State of the Union to talk about the decision by the United States to release 5 prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in exchange for the Taliban releasing an American soldier held captive and only CNN's Candy Crowley brought up Benghazi to Ambassador Rice.

Bill Kristol, editor of the conservative magazine The Weekly Standard dismantled liberal PBS host Tavis Smiley on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos

Appearing as a guest on Sunday, June 1, Kristol left Smiley speechless surrounding how to solve the VA scandal when he asked his fellow panelist: “If they got a generous voucher to use to purchase the health insurance they need or the health care they need how would that be failing veterans?” [See video below.]

What at times is worse than the Jurassic Press not covering something?  The Jurassic Press covering something.

The all-encompassing government-Internet-power-grab that is Network Neutrality rarely gets outside-the-Tech-World media attention.  But Thursday the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted in Democrat Party-line fashion to begin its process of imposing it.  This was a big enough deal that it garnered over-the-weekend Big Media coverage from ABC (with a Bloomberg assist) and PBS (with a Washington Post assist).
