On Tuesday, Glee star Naya Rivera made a guest appearance on ABC’s The View and made some unusual comments about “white people" and their bathing habits. Speaking in response to co-host Nicolle Wallace saying that because she has dogs and a baby she has to shower three times a day, the Glee actress proclaimed that “white people shower a lot more than ethnics.”

A day after Rosie O’Donnell proclaimed that the CIA engaged in “horrific” and “illegal” “torture,” on Thursday morning the cast of ABC’s The View decided to revisit the controversial Democratic Senate report on the CIA’s use of enhanced interrogation techniques on suspected terrorists. Predictably, Rosie doubled-down on her claim that America “tortured” people but conservative co-host Nicolle Wallace eagerly slapped her down. The ABC host insisted that she has “never been more proud to defend the people who walk the line for this country and this city and the city in which I worked, the city where my mom and dad lived.”

On Tuesday, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and the Democratically controlled Senate Intelligence Committee released a controversial report detailing the CIA’s enhanced interrogation program used against suspected terrorists in the years after 9/11.
The report has drawn criticism from Republicans and many in the intelligence community but on ABC’s The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg offered up a bizarre reason for opposing it’s release. Goldberg argued “I don't mind that it comes out. I don’t think right now during the holidays when parents are not paying attention at the malls and kids are running around because they're out of school.”

View co-host Rosie O'Donnell on Thursday broadened the non-indictment in the Eric Garner case as proof of "systemic racism in the United States." While the other co-hosts focused on the case, O'Donnell generalized that racism is "prevalent in America and we need to look at ourselves."

On Sunday, actor and political commentator Ben Stein appeared on Fox News and made some highly controversial remarks about President Obama, accusing him of being “the most racist president there has ever been in America.” Following Stein’s offensive comments, on Tuesday, all four co-hosts on The View rightly criticized the actor, and unsurprisingly Rosie O'Donnell took her condemnation to a whole new level. Rosie proclaimed that “it was on Fox News which I think just likes to incite a lot of hate and is not always factually correct."

ABC's The View, a show featuring a woman who believes the United States government may have been involved in the September 11th, 2001 attacks, will now be overseen by the network's news division, according to Variety. ABC News President James Goldston announced, "Moving ‘The View’ to our non-fiction programming group now allows it to fully draw on the vast resources of ABC News and our team in New York, where the show is based right next door."
