Before the hostage standoff with an Islamic gunman in Sydney had even ended on Monday, the media had already seized on a social media campaign that offered protection to Australian Muslims against imagined bigotry that had not occurred. On Good Morning America, co-host George Stephanopoulos touted: "The #IllRideWithYou trending worldwide on Twitter. It's a message of tolerance from Sydney residents offering solidarity with Muslims in the cities. Locals concerned people in religious attire could be harassed."

Early Wednesday morning, Julie Pace at the Associated Press proved yet again why it is more than appropriate to characterize the wire service where she works as the Administration's Press. The headline at Pace's story tells us that poor President Barack Obama still has to confront the "Bush legacy," and is still stuck with his wars and "big chunks of Bush's national security apparatus." Cry me a river, Julie. One of Pace's more important omissions is the fact that the enhanced interrogations program Senate Democrats are decrying was a creation of none other than Bill Clinton.

When the news broke Friday that Rolling Stone Magazine (sort of) recanted it’s scandalous story of a brutal rape on the UVA campus, now thought to be based on a false account, conservatives blamed Rolling Stone for not vetting its sources well while Liberals trashed Rolling Stone too but for a different reason: “victim blaming.” To the left, this wasn’t a case of a magazine writing up a story based on an unverified account, but a slip up that affected their “rape culture” agenda. That’s why feminist Politico writer Julia Horowitz could say, “to let fact checking define the narrative would be a huge mistake.” Her sentiment wasn’t alone. Continuing a nearly six-month pattern, the nation's establishment press ignored today's arraignment of pioneering homosexual activist, major Obama campaign bundler and Democrat "kingmaker" Terry Bean in Lane County, Oregon "on two charges of third-degree sodomy, a felony, and sexual abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor."
A Google News search on Bean's full name during the past 24 hours done at 11 PM ET returned 24 items. Over a dozen of them linked to Michelle Malkin's latest syndicated column decrying the press's disgraceful double standards in covering matters such as these. Most of the remaining results were reports found at Oregon media outlets. One interesting exception was at, of all places, EDGE.

How long it would have taken from the time of its exposure for the press to have prominently reported on an email sent from the the Bush 43 White House to its Justice Department asking, "Any way we can fix the New York Times?" We can be confident that it would have taken less than a New York minute, and that saturation coverage would have continued for days.
Well, one revelation in a series of Saturday tweets by former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson, one of only a very few establishment press journalists who did serious reporting on the Department of Justice's Operation Fast & Furious Mexican gun-running operations beginning in 2011, is that the Obama administration was considering what it could do to "fix" another news operation.

Oscar Wilde famously wrote about a Dickens character: “One must have a heart of stone to read the death of little Nell without laughing.” And you’d have to have a heart of stone not to read the post-election tweets of liberal celebrities without at least a schadenfreude-tastic giggle.
Really, Hollywood’s election reaction has rarely been more entertaining. Daily Show writer Lizz Winstead moaned, “Republicans win control of your body.” Bette Midler tweeted bitterly, “We can look forward to unregulated banks, no health care, filthy air and oceans, and WAR, WAR, AND MORE WAR. Thanks, folks!”
