Barack Obama’s signature legislative accomplishment took quite a hit on television Wednesday.

After Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood mocked it during the Country Music Association Awards, NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno said the President is “better off smoking crack than passing ObamaCare” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

On Tuesday's NBC Tonight Show, host Jay Leno provided harsher criticism of President Obama falsely claiming that Americans could keep their current health insurance plans under ObamaCare than any of the network's reporters. Leno told the audience: "Well, it's being reported that the President has known for three years that people would lose their coverage. The press is now saying the President lied." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]

Leno setup a mock defense of Obama: "But today the White House said that's not true. He did not lie. And they released this tape from three years ago to prove it. Here's what he said three years ago." A comically dubbed-over sound bite followed of Obama saying people "cannot" keep their doctors and health insurance.

ObamaCare is falling apart. The National Security Agency has been accused of spying on our closest allies. So what does NBC Today show host Savannah Guthrie think is the biggest story in politics right now?

As told to NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno Tuesday, whether or not Hillary Clinton is going to run for president in 2016 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Jay Leno continued mocking the rollout of ObamaCare Thursday.

The NBC Tonight Show host began the program with a series of jokes about President Obama including recommending he “put the NSA in charge of the website. That way there's nothing to fill out. They already have all our information. See? Just put your name in” (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

As NewsBusters has been reporting, late night comics are having a field day with the disastrous rollout of the President’s health insurance exchanges.

NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno began the program Tuesday saying it’s “easier to join al Qaeda using their website than it [is] to sign up for ObamaCare” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Between the government shut down and the debt ceiling limit about to be crossed Oct. 17, the news media is screaming like the house is on fire. The Obama administration has also warned of dangers. Of course, that’s nothing new.

In many cases following the Obama administration’s reports and threats, the networks were hysterical in their coverage of the “fiscal cliff” and the sequester in late 2012 and early 2013. They repeated predictions and made claims that in many cases, simply failed to happen.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said one of the dumbest things he’s ever said in his life Thursday evening, and that’s saying something.

When NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno asked if he thought John Boehner (R-Oh.) would lose his Speakership as a result of the current government shutdown/debt ceiling debate, Matthews responded, “It might be the greatest thing he ever does in his life” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

As NewsBusters reported Tuesday, MSNBC's Mara Schiavocampo had a tough time signing up for ObamaCare the first day the exchanges went live.

As if that wasn't funny enough, the folks at NBC's Tonight Show took that video and added a surprise ending where Schiavocampo is so frustrated she destroyed her computer (video follows with commentary):

Jay Leno picked the wrong guy to complain about how Barack Obama is being treated by his opponents.

After doing so to Newt Gingrich on NBC’s Tonight Show Wednesday, the host got a lesson in how conservatives are attacked by the media (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Jay Leno clearly isn’t pleased with the government shutdown.

On Wednesday’s Tonight Show, the host spent most of his opening monologue railing against the President and Congress concluding with him holding a sign up that read “F U Politicians” (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

If NBC’s Tonight Show audience is any indication. Americans aren’t buying into the media’s hysteria concerning the government shutdown.

Quite the contrary, when host Jay Leno asked, “How many are worried about the government shutdown,” not one person in the studio audience applauded (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Appearing on NBC’s Tonight Show Thursday, Paul said, “Be very cautious – you could get elected.”
