David Corn: Hillary Camp Telling Press Things on Email That 'Are Not True'

David Corn of mucho-left Mother Jones was the object of considerable ire for going after Bill O'Reilly in what Rush and others saw as attempted tit-for-tat over Brian Williams' inventions.  But credit Corn when it's due: he is now speaking out about how Hillary's camp is in a "defensive crouch" over her email in which Hillary's people have told him and other members of the press things that "are not true."

Corn, who has also written on the matter, made his allegations on Steve Kornacki's MSNBC show today. Corn claimed "I was told by a Clinton advocate, speaking for her, that everything was preserved by the State Department. It turns out it wasn't."  He added that by telling the press things that "aren't true," the Clinton camp turns a "level 4 fire" into a 13.

On Monday night, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell devoted his nightly “rewrite” segment to challenging former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s claim that he loves America. During his lengthy diatribe, the MSNBC host not only suggested that “when Rudy Giuliani talks about love, he has, and we have, no idea what he’s talking about” and “love of country isn’t easily defined and might not even be necessary.”

The chasm between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama when it comes to their views of America and the world could hardly be wider. But on today's Up With Steve Kornacki, when the host asked the Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart whether President Obama talks and thinks about America differently from Reagan [and Clinton and Carter], Capehart emphatically replied "No.  Rudy Giuliani is lying."

As part of the left’s bashing of Rudy Giuliani for stating his belief that President Obama doesn’t love America, MSNBC’s The Last Word convened a panel on Thursday night to berate Giuliani. Liberal radio show host Stephanie Miller went as far as to compare what the former New York City Mayor told a gathering of Republican donors to using derogatory language toward African-Americans, gays, and women: “[W]henever someone starts a sentence with, this is going to be horrible, it's like when someone says I'm not a racist, but n-word for a black person. I'm not a homophobe, but f-word for gay person, I’m not a sexist, but c-word for a woman. That's what this is.”

On Tuesday, MSNBC host Jose Diaz-Balart featured back-to-back segments on immigration in the wake of a federal judge in Texas blocking implementation of President Obama’s executive action on immigration reform. Throughout the two segments, the Rundown host played up how the Texas judge’s ruling “reignites the debate within the GOP” and repeatedly insisted that any discussion of immigration reform was “toxic” among Republican primary voters.

MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry sat down with outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder for an exclusive interview for Essence magazine that aired on Sunday morning and the MSNBC host eagerly gushed over his tenure at the Justice Department. Speaking to Holder, Harris-Perry played up how over at MSNBC “we call you the duck” because “we say you have a very sort of placid and even way of presenting, but you are just working for justice underneath." The MSNBC host proceeded to ask if he "would you quack for us?”

On Tuesday night, Lawrence O’Donnell devoted nearly four minutes of MSNBC show The Last Word to reading from and professing his complete admiration for President Barack Obama’s memoir Dreams From My Father as the “most honest,” “open,” “artful,” and “finest literary work ever authored by a President of the United States.” He spent no additional time on the book’s many inconsistencies, which stands in stark contrast to O’Donnell spending 32 minutes and 22 seconds of his program on January 27 and 28 obsessing over the late Chris Kyle’s book (turned hit movie) American Sniper and bringing on multiple guests to discredit Kyle and his story.

While discussing answers by former and likely future presidential candidates on whether they have ever used drugs, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell invoked President Barack Obama’s book Dreams From My Father on Tuesday to provide Obama’s answer to the question in what became a gushing tribute that included a nearly three minute reading from the book. O’Donnell proclaimed that the memoir was the “most honest,” “open,” “artful,” and “finest literary work ever authored by a President of the United States” despite the book not containing “the whole truth of Barack Obama's life.”

On Sunday, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry program previewed the upcoming Super Bowl with a panel of liberal commentators including notorious lefty Dave Zirin of the Nation magazine, to bash the sport of football. Speaking during a panel discussion, Zirin blasted the NFL and insisted that “if we lived in a sane world this sport would not exist. This is brain damage for profit, that's what it is. Science is not this sport's friend.”

The list of unhinged statements and rants coming from left-leaning journalists in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris is getting miles long.

Among them all, one especially sticks out. In one of the earliest retreats to twisted, gutless characterizations of the Charlie Hebdo terrorists, CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who is also ABC's global affairs anchor, called them "activists." Greg Gutfeld of Fox News commented on Amanpour's annihilation of the English langauge and went after the "fear of (right-wing) backlash" mindset on Friday.

MSNBC Terrorism Analyst: National Front ‘as Much of the Problem’ in France ‘as Jihadists Are’

In the midst of MSNBC’s coverage on the aftermath of the dual hostage situations in France that resulted in three terrorists being killed, MSNBC terrorism analyst Evan Kohlmann railed against the “openly racist,” “prejudice[d],” and “hateful” National Front party in France as being “as much of the problem as jihadists are” for the country.

Following the airing of a speech by French President François Hollande, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes brought up the plans for a national unity march in Paris on Sunday that would feature all political parties with the exception of the National Front, which is currently led by Marine Le Pen.
