On Thursday night, the major broadcast networks declined to cover reports that one of the five Taliban detainees swapped for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in May 2014 has been seeking to rejoin the terrorism ranks by contacting Taliban members back in Afghanistan.
The news, which was broken by CNN Thursday afternoon, came following reports on Wednesday from Fox News and NBC News that the Army could be pressing desertion charges against Bergdahl for leaving his post prior to his capture in 2009. Since those stories arose, the Pentagon has denied those allegations.

Media Research Center president Brent Bozell called on NBC to formally apologize for the outrageous "killing spree" statement that network correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin made on the January 29 edition of Morning Joe. Of course, Mohyeldin's nasty anti-American comments should come as no surprise, Bozell reminded host Megyn Kelly, noting how the Palestinian journalist got his start in major-network journalism.

Host Megyn Kelly first asked Kurtz what he thought of the whole stunt and admitted that GloZell was “funny” and didn’t have a problem with Obama appearing on other talk shows like “Ellen, The View, or [The] Colbert [Report],” but thought this went too far.

Sunday’s New York Times Magazine includes a generally favorable story on "The Megyn Kelly Moment" by Times reporter Jim Rutenberg (once a media-beat specialist).
Rutenberg acknowledged how throroughly Kelly dominates her time slot and is battling with Bill O’Reilly for the top of the cable-news mountain. Liberals are complaining about Kelly's positive press.

Former CNN host Piers Morgan sat down with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Monday night's The Kelly File to discuss him lobbying Time magazine to name the Ferguson protestors to be their “Person of the Year” for 2014. The interview began with the two jokingly burrying the hatchet regarding their former ratings battle during the 9:00 p.m. timeslot. Speaking to Kelly, Morgan joked that in 2013 “I tweeted you saying, ‘Bring it, Megyn Kelly’...And the mere fact I’m now a guest on the show indicates that you brought it. So congratulations.” The Fox News host said of Morgan’s failed run at CNN :"Thank you very much for being such a gracious loser. We appreciate it."

During Thursday night's edition of The Kelly File on the Fox News Channel soon after the president announced that he was taking executive action regarding illegal immigration, guest Geraldo Rivera praised Barack Obama for “doing finally the right thing” and blamed Republicans as the reason legislation on the issue has failed to pass Congress.
The senior correspondent for the network declared that “I don't know and I don't care” why Obama took the extreme action more than a month before the newly elected Congress will be sworn in and claimed that the GOP “had it coming” because they blame immigrants for everything, including “climate change if they believed in it.”

Just imagine the reaction of the liberal media if a video had surfaced of a George W. Bush administration official admitting that “lack of transparency” was “a huge political advantage” in selling the Iraq war and that they relied on the “stupidity of the American voter” to launch an attack on Iraq? That video would be everywhere. However, the clip of ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber using those exact phrases in talking about the passage of the Affordable Care Act has yet to be reported on ABC or NBC’s evening or morning shows.

If Jonathan Gruber, the Obama administration and the establishment press thought that Gruber's faux mea culpa appearance on MSNBC Tuesday afternoon would get them off the hook and avoid the need to deal with and cover the Obamacare architect's exposure of the left's mendacity, they were sadly mistaken.
