Polls show the American public overwhelmingly opposed to war in Syria.

Despite this, CBS Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer on Sunday formally announced his support for the President's planned attack (video follows with transcript and commentary):

"I think those in the American government, looking at Vladimir Putin and what he's done, are feeling resentful and they're feeling dissed. They're wondering why he's treating America so roughly."

So said Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan on CBS's Face the Nation Sunday.

As NewsBusters has been reporting, the liberal media have been for months making the case that the Republican Party is doomed if an immigration reform bill isn't enacted.

A fine example is CBS Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer who on Sunday actually asked Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) - with a little bit of a chuckle no less! - "Can your party survive as a major political party if you don't come up with some sort of immigration reform?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

As NewsBusters has been reporting, the media these days seem to see everything through the prism of what helps and hinders Hillary Clinton's path to the White House.

On CBS's Face the Nation Sunday, Bob Schieffer said Huma Abedin, by standing by her disgraced husband Anthony Weiner, was "doing Hillary Clinton no favors whatsoever if Hillary Clinton is planning to run for president" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Norah O'Donnell had a memory lapse on Friday's CBS This Morning, as she expressed her disgust over San Diego Mayor Bob Filner's alleged sexual harassment of women. O'Donnell exclaimed, "I know we shouldn't editorialize, but this behaving badly – it's gone overboard at this point." [audio available here; video below the jump]

The anchor apparently isn't self-aware, because she has regularly injected her personal commentary into her journalism, particularly when she interviews conservatives/Republicans. Her track record during her first several months on the CBS morning newscast:

CBS's Bob Schieffer got a much-needed lesson in recent history Sunday.

During a Face the Nation discussion with House Speaker John Boehner (R-Oh.), after the host wrongly claimed sequester was "the creation of Congress," Boehner interrupted him saying, "That's wrong. Who insisted on the sequester? The President of the United States" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

The Big Three networks still can't get enough of Texas State Senator Wendy Davis, nearly a week after her extended filibuster against pro-life legislation on June 25, 2013. All three brought on Davis during their Sunday morning talk programs, and continued hyping the supportive response on social media that Davis received in response to her "epic eleven-hour filibuster", as NBC' s Janet Shamlian sympathetically labeled it on Monday's Today.

ABC's Jeff Zeleny conducted a beyond softball interview of the liberal politician on This Week, and was awed when the liberal politician showed off the pink running shoes that she wore during the filibuster [audio available here; video below the jump]. Bob Schieffer touted Davis' "wonderful biography" on Face the Nation, and added that "few outside Texas knew of her until last week when she became an overnight sensation." NBC and CBS each devoted another full report to Davis on their Monday morning newscasts.

Former head of both the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency General Michael Hayden made a stunning remark Sunday.

In a CBS Face the Nation discussion about the recent leaks by Edward Snowden, Hayden said, "I can't imagine a government anywhere on the planet who now believes we can keep a secret."

It’s always fascinating when media members are totally clueless about what’s actually happening in the society.

Take CBS’s Bob Schieffer who admitted on Sunday’s Face the Nation to not having heard of lawsuits that have been filed against various business owners around the country for refusing to serve same-sex couples as a result of their religious beliefs (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Latest dispatch from the Department of Pot-Meet-Kettle. On today's Face the Nation, Texas state senator Wendy Davis, who overnight went from being a national unknown to a rising star who today appeared on count-em three Sunday talk shows, has accused politicians of using the abortion issue "to boost their own political aspirations."

Davis also accused Texas Governor Rick Perry and Lt. Governor David Dewhurst of putting thousands of Texas women "in harm's way in order for them to step up the political ladder." Bob Schieffer never called Davis on her hypocrisy. View the video after the jump.

Can you imagine a member of the liberal media asking a Democratic elected official if his or her party "gets it" on an issue facing the nation?

On CBS's Face the Nation Sunday, host Bob Schieffer actually asked Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Al.), "Do you think Republicans get it on immigration?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Senate Intelligence Committee chair Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said something Sunday that should be of grave concern to Americans on both sides of the aisle.

Appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation, Feinstein said that as far as what has been relayed to her, the United States government doesn't what documents National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden has in his possession.
