With the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal ongoing, on Tuesday, NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning assured viewers that the Democratic front-runner was in no “legal jeopardy.” On Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie asked Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd: “I mean, the central accusation, what people are worried about, is did she mishandle classified information?...is there a smoking gun on that issue?” Todd replied: “No, there's not.”

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today acted as unofficial White House spokesmen and eagerly promoted President Obama’s visit to Alaska in which he pushed his climate change agenda. ABC’s Good Morning America, however, did not cover President Obama’s climate change speech. CBS’s Gayle King touted how Obama “gets a firsthand look at the effects of climate change on his three-day visit to Alaska...He painted a dark picture of the future without action...”

Barack Obama bypassed Congress yet again, Sunday, but NBC and ABC barely noticed or offered much of an objection. The President unilaterally changed the name of Alaska's Mount McKinley to Mount Denali. Republicans swiftly objected, including Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senator Rob Portman, among others.

During an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation, Washington Post reporter Ed O’Keefe argued that Hillary Clinton’s decision to compare Republicans with terrorists on the issue of women’s issues was a sign of weakness coming from her presidential campaign. O’Keefe suggested that Clinton’s comments were meant to “solidify the Democratic base and sort of remind that she's willing to be that partisan warrior that they're seeking...But I saw that sort of as a sign of desperation or at least an attempt to sort of tamper down the idea that others are surging or that they're going to get in.”

After Thursday’s network morning shows chose to ignore a finding in the latest Quinnipiac poll that voters most associate the word “liar” with Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, ABC’s World News Tonight that evening and Friday’s NBC Today finally mentioned the survey. CBS continued to avoid the topic.

On the Friday morning network newscasts, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today showed no interest in picking up on an ABC News report that former President Bill Clinton sought approval from his wife’s State Department for speeches that involved African dictators and North Korea with the speaking fee for the former engagement worth $650,000.

ABC, CBS, and NBC's Thursday morning newscasts all covered the latest Quinnipiac University poll showing Hillary Clinton's "lowest numbers so far this campaign," as ABC's Cecilia Vega put it on Good Morning America. However, the Big Three network shows all failed to mention how the poll also found that the first three words that come to mind when Americans think of Mrs. Clinton are "liar," "dishonest," and "untrustworthy." CNN Newsroom actually covered these words associations later in the morning.

Both ABC's Good Morning America and CBS This Morning on Thursday used the shooting death of two journalists in Roanoke, Virginia to highlight gun control. GMA co-host Robin Roberts talked to the boyfriend of slain reporter Alison Parker and lectured, "...When something like this happens, the conversation turns to gun control."

During an interview on Thursday’s CBS This Morning, Norah O’Donnell repeatedly questioned New Jersey Governor Chris Christie over the Republican Party’s supposed unwillingness to condemn GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. The CBS anchor lectured Christie that “[y]ou certainly don't agree with Donald Trump on a number of issues, I assume...So why has there been a reluctance by so many of the other candidates to take on Donald Trump.”

Fresh from his confrontation with Donald Trump on Tuesday night, activist reporter Jorge Ramos appeared on ABC and CBS to pitch the idea that it's the job of journalists to openly oppose the candidate's positions. On Good Morning America, Wednesday, he asked colleague George Stephanopoulos: "We have to denounce that he wants to deny citizenship to children being born here." He added, "They're citizens, just like [Trump's children], and it is impossible to build a 1900-mile wall... So that's the kind of questions that I was asking Mr. Trump."

First it was a destroyed hard drive, then it was a busted BlackBerry and now we find out Lois Lerner used another personal e-mail account to conduct government business that utilized the alias “Toby Miles.” This IRS targeting scandal has more twists than an old episode of Law and Order, but it’s still not enticing the Big Three networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) to go back to covering it.
